Testing. Had to get a new avatar as I thought I had saved my old one but I didn't.

You should still be able to get access to the old site, Nate, to go ahead and snag it from there if you would like to:
    http://skullbrain.org/legacy/

James left it up for just such things as this, and for users coming in intermittently who may not be aware of the move to be able to access some stuff.

Is there any chance of making the "General Interests" tab into a link that shows the 10 or 15 most recent threads like on the old site? That used to be my one-click stop each and everything morning to see what was new

One thing I have noticed that is a slight downside the conversation versus PM route, is that previously, you could always easily tell if someone had read your PM or not. This was quite helpful in a lot of situations, such as when trying to deal with a sale, or reaching out to get a hold of someone (e.g. you could see if your message had been received and was just not yet acknowledged [or not]). It also allowed you to go back back and make changes/retract PMs if they had not yet been read. I always found this convenient, for whatever reason. I am not sure there is any way to incorporate this into the convo system or not, but it could be nice (and useful) to have an 'unread' indication, that isn't for yourself.

Is there any way ultrakaiju and toothaction could be limited to i40 characters like Twitter . . . or a 'no reposting within an hour of the last post' restriction? 2011 was a bad year for boardhogs!

Same here. Also, I'll have to get used to ALL pms being displayed in the same folder - would be great to have more options for organizing, if only via the "Display options" tab at the bottom?

And "Reply" only quotes the part of the post someone wrote themselves, omitting previous quotes in that post.

"Image Size" was really helpful on the old board - my images are normally saved by FB/Instagram at 900x900 so they are too large for the board and I like to resize them at around 500x500. Is there any way to do this?

You can still use the imgwidth bbcode here @badteethcomics. I'll need to look into how to add our custom bbcodes to the editor.

Unless I am missing it, I don't see a timestamp on posts unless they are edited. Is this a function of some "less is more" minimalist layout?

No timestamp unless it is over an hour after it was posted. In the time being, it will show how many minutes ago it was posted.

Really not important or major but I noticed my birthday (maybe) got switched around. It's supposed to be Feb. 5th (2-5-86) but now it says May 2nd (5-2-86). It's definitely possible I just entered it wrong when I joined the board but there's no way for me to know without posting about it...sorry in advance if it's my fault. In general, things seem to be working well for me.

I liked that too, but now I'm just using the Watch Thread option and it alerts me when there's a new post. I actually like it better this way. Also, I'm loving that I can mark the forums read, which, unless I'm a total idiot, wasn't an option before.

@side.g There's a "Mark Forums Read" button in the top navigation, right under the "Forums" tab. If you click that on the main page of the forum, it'll mark everything read. I believe if you go into a forum (for example the FAQs & Announcements section) and click that link, it'll just mark everything in that section as read.

Possibly already covered but is it possible to edit or delete posts made in error?

Was this something on the mobile version, because I don't recall there being any red. The simpleness of the SB layout and colour schemes - especially its unobtrusiveness on-screen - was one of the things I most appreciated about the board. I dunno, to me the red just seems kind of jarring, but if it is the general preference, so be it.
