For any brainers that have been before, should Saturday be avoided/embraced by a kaiju-lover?
(I was just gonna pick up a thursday and friday ticket, but wondering if i should extend.)

Friday and Saturday are when the majority of the most releases happen, and Saturday is the busiest day of the con itself, though The Block (where all the toy vendors are located) is usually not that bad compared to rest of the place.

Do RealXHead have their own booth, or do they still share with Onell?

 

They've shared with Onell the past 2 years, usually that won't be announced until like September though

 

No word on single day or three day tickets yet, right?

Thanks, the 4 day and VIP sold out so quickly I feel like I better be on my game to score the 3 day or single day. Haven't decided which to get yet.

 

I am guessing Reed pop cut way down on 4 day badges this year. They make a lot more selling individual day badges. They also starting clearing panel rooms so those that want a really good spot have to purchase the Ultimate Access Package.

 

These things are getting to be such a s**t show. I'd like to see a ToyCon or Dcon type show in NYC that only spotlighted toys. Personally I could do without the other nonsense at these shows.

 

I think im going with 3day this year since all the stuff is always announced last min. Ive only ever gone saturday and luckily the stuff i always wanted was on that day. But 3day isnt much more money so it might be good. Last year sold out and i didnt even know it.. i had to literally race to a comic shop in jersey to grab tickets after i found out. Right after i got there some mom runs in there all frantic asking for tickets too haha. Shit was hectic but kinda fun... i got really lucky. I wouldnt wanna do it again though.

 

^^ Basically my thinking too. For $20 extra I would have the option to go all three days. I don't have the luxury of dedicating the whole weekend but if there was a release or signing over the weekend I could be in and out.

 

Anyone know which sellers/manufacturers will be there this year? I went to the Philly ComicCon yesterday and they had NADA in terms of toys. (Okay, I lied, they had ONE vintage booth with a sofubi King Ghidorah) Now I'm dying to go to a con that actually has something other than droves of Whovians.

 

Wizard World sucks, pretty much anything but NYCC won't have independent toy manufacturers. They probably won't announce anything until way late in the game, like September.

well that was annoying. kept getting error screens trying to get through checkout and then had my cart emptied cause i ran out of time. but was able to add them again without having to go through the queue again and then made it through no problem. dont refresh too much but refreshing at an error screen does work. hope everyone gets their tickets!
I ended up going with just saturday since i would need to drive up and pay parking each day. so hopefully the stuff i'm after is on saturday like every other year
