Thank you very much Grace, as you comment they have a scary look. The Majin Sai from the top is the giant version and originally the hair was a very clear silver color almost white. The standard version like this had a very light blonde color, but I have the theory that by some reaction to water or humidity the hair becomes darker, maybe I'm wrong.
Thank you @XVivaHateX, I think this bootleg works better in the photo because they have a similar size. These Ninja Arashi bootlegs are the most common or at least those that are seen most often. This one is the version without hair on the helmet, I want to catch the one that has hair, also in that version the tunic has a different cut and has two stickers of throwing stars.
Well Jim told us to go big...... Not as bluish as Roger's but certainly has bluish highlight in it. sorry for the crap pics I was hoping my new camera would arrive by now but waiting on that. Will take better shots when I can. Overall happy with it. I mean they never come up for sale really, not interested in the Standard size (sculpt doesn't do anything for me), so I'm stoked to have this and the Popy sized mini. Long long want off my list. Finally had the scratch to pull the trigger AND one was available! So really only vintage long time wants (I say this as in absolutely have to have before I die kind of way) still haunting me are mini Leafman and Standard Tiger Seven. Well that and I'd like to find a masks for my giant sized Thundermask and Ultra Ace.
Thanks man, definitely has thee most evil expression on his face in all of Vintage Japanese toy world. Also has a Riff Raff from Rocky Horror thing going on.
What can I tell you Chris; It is simply a beautiful piece and to my taste one of the best giant size villains made for Bandai. Yours has a lot of silver in the eyes and forehead area, which I really like. I will also try to take better pictures of mine and try to make a colorway comparison with yours. Great score!
Wonderful stuff! Those PJs and the cute feet are awesome! A bit scary for my shelves, but it's a nice adoption! Congrats
Thank you very much Grace, recently I realized that I have more heroes than villains, so I have to focus more on the villains to make a balance.
As for villains, I have the "cute" ones... jumbo Cobraman and Chameleon Riders. I dream of adopting an Okozeruge!
Those giant villains of Kamen Rider are my favorites, especially the Cobraman. Too bad I did not get a chance to catch one I'm also want the Okozeruge, but they are not easy to find and not cheap either. But we are still on the hunt...
I think that should be the official name! Something about those restful looking etched clouds and soft warm polka dot colors, definitely suggest PJs to the mind. By the way, I wonder if you can switch heads for instant wardrobe change? That would be really neat! Roger, you need to adopt a Tiger 7 so we can find out! If vintage wasn't so expensive, I'd seriously consider a pair of PJs for my Tigers to share
@Lixx me too Chris! @Alebrije by the way Roger, your photos are really nice! Gentle lighting really focuses your attention on the toys. Are you shooting from a light box?
Does anyone have a definitive pic of the katana and scabbard that came with the standard-sized (8") Bandai Arashi?
