HA I was just about to post that photo. Im almost positive that double sickle belongs to majin kamataichi. Not only is it in his name (kama) but its in the episode. Here's where his origin comes from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamaitachi "sickle weasel" As for the other three, and I could be wrong, but im not sure they came with any weapons. Aside from never seeing them at auction, the guy that runs the amazing toy blog (where the photo Michael sent you came from) doesnt have them. If anyone would own them that guy would.
It definitely looks very similar. Might be one of those stock 'evildoer gang' issued weapons. I have a pic of Mashira in the package, and didn't see a weapon in there, so I would not be surprised if they didn't all come with one. Count me in for a weapons pack for these guys, even though I don't have all the villains! EDIT: oops, what he said. Well, it is not definitive, as it could still be hidden, but I dug this out of a Mandarake photo I snapped. I will at least say he doesn't have any grippable hands, so if he did have a weapon, it would have to have some time of loop or handle to go around his hand.
Here's a pic of a packaged Neko Mandala: If you look closely on the left you can make out the weapon. Pretty bad photo but it's all I could come up with. The Mashira mini has a sword in his belt and I saw this playing card so I assume it's a sword, but have yet to find a pic of one with a sword. Right direction though, it could be a case of just another sword like Hayate:
Mashira can definitely grip weapons in his right hand, Steve: And it looks like you're right about his Buddhist/taiji sword (or whatever that is), Chris: Michael and Jonathan, I found these pics: So you guys were absolutely right about Majin Kamaitachi--he's got the double-kama, while Doku Utsubo just has a normal sword. I guess that old Y!J auction pic I posted was wrong. I just watched the opening and closing themes on Dailymotion, and it looks like Neko Mandala has both a kusarigama and a regular Japanese sword (even if the figure didn't come with anything--I can't see anything in that bag either, Chris!). Yet another Japanese sword would be boring, so I might try my hand at the kusarigama...though it might be tricky to find some chain... Anyway, that's everyone!
^^me too haha. i zoomed in as far as i could and could only make out what seemed to be a crease in the bag. who knows- any other eagle eyes out there? *edit- awesome and informative post sanjeev, thanks for the pictures. good luck with this quest, and thanks for being a champ and thinking it was a cool idea to begin with.
That Mandala pic is so small (actual size posted). I zoomed in using preview and got a close up of a pixelated crease. Really did look like a staff but then again the pic is small. I must need glasses.
