+1, if we stop wasting all the oil in cars we'll have more to make into vinyl. Thats gotta lower prices right?
I know. but I know it was registering to vote because my driver's license hasn't been updated to a Philly address. so as far as local government knew, I didn't live here until I registered to vote.
Oh Americans aren't that stupid that they would make that assicistion.......Oh wait - King Geo was elected twice. So i guess they are. I even saw they Fox News was carryig a speech by Obama and put Osama below his picture. No shit - fair and balanced my ass!
I have voted in every single national and local election since 1981. to not vote is to throw away your voice and your social conscience. I am all about Obama...so much so that I am actually going to switch my party affiliation from republican to Democrat so i can vote for him and against Hillary ther wicked witch. now if ,as a life long republican voter will make the switch, be assured many many others will as well. I have a lot of friends in the ;redneck USA lands all you whiny non voting losers hate...and they all like Obama. Race is not an issue for them..attitude is..and theyt all hate hate hate the whole snotty liberal asswipe Kerry/Hillary thing. Obama will do VERY WELL in 'the south'. trust me. This guy, unless Hillary manages to smear him bad enough could win the Presidency. The real hurdle is getting him nominated. PLEASE vote as a democrat and get him nominated. his 'no experience' is the best part of all. this guy is NOT a 30 year tool of washington (like Gore was..groomed for the slot by his dad and handlers all his life, but like a real dude with a brain out of nowhere. He could be the new Lincoln. VOTE FOR THE BIG O
I hope you dont mind a UK brainer wading in on this ??? I'm afraid that no matter who gets into office now, your country is ruled and governed by large corporations who covet greed and power over the actual well being of the people that put them there let alone that of other cultures. Bush is completley owned by these people , nothing he or his party does could ever be trusted again, American politics is so crooked , it actually sickens me , I lived in New York for a very short peroid and have spend many trips there (17 or 20 i forget) the news and disinformation you are fed through the same corporations that fund the president and want nothing more than keeping the average American dumbed down baffles me, what is worse is now that the US & UK are now such good friends things will only get worse, basically with the middle east your country has led you into the same situation that the UK faced with Northern Ireland 20 years ago, you will never leave, will lose 1000 of lives and spend billions of $$ and never even scratch the surface of the troubles there. Your president is ill informed, ill equipped and ignorant. One of the only leaders in the world to deny any effects of global warming . I hope what you guys are saying is right and there is a hero on the horizon, because America is turning into the bully of the free world and it isnt pretty, and the future looks pretty bleak. Lets hope the winds of change on on the horizon. Where is Bill Hick's when you need him
Wasn't Lincoln hated and considered a moron by most "snooty city folk" of the time? I also believe that the civil war, from the norths point of view, was viewed very similarly to out view of the war now, it was a joke and there was no need for it. Even after the slavery issue was raised, most media was against it, mainly because the north was being slaughtered for so long. Not that I'm trying to compare the 2, or that has anything to do with this. Just some interesting stuff. I'd go Obama over Hillary though, I HATE her. But I THINK Rudy is running on the Rep. bill, and that'd be an interesting race, since he "cleaned up" 9/11 and is more of a "left wing republican." Not that any of that has to do with much either, just fueling the fire.
I think Rudy's gonna have a tough time appealing to the anti-abortion, anti-gay republicans that the GOP has spent the last decade catering to.
Not to mention the more extreme folks who have anti-Catholic sentiments, and the fact that Rudy was once married to his cousin. He would never pass muster.
The Democrats were against gay marriage as well. Kerry said he had the same opinion on it as Bush. Also, a big thing that pushed Bush last time was the fact that Kerry said he'd support 3rd trimester abortions, which pushed a lot of Kerry supporters to vote Bush. I've heard more than 1 person say that that was the reason they changed their mind. Again I'm not supporting anyone, or any particular issue, just don't unerestimate the abortion issue as something that Pro = win. ALSO as far as religion/catholosism is involved, Kennedy was catholic, and he was one of the most popular presidents ever.
Not with everybody: http://www.john-f-kennedy.net/wantedfortreason.htm One of the big concerns about Kennedy was whether he would "take orders from the Pope." I can imagine some Republicans voicing the same concerns about Rudy, especially since one of the loudest voices condemning the war in Iraq came from Rome.
I honestly don't think he's electable. He's black, and his name sounds Muslim. There are a lot of prejudiced people out there. I don't think he can win.
