That Bearbrick is really nice! If it's 400% I wouldn't mind having one of those.
And I like that this is just a dumping ground of non-Japanese SDCC stuff. It's great fun to laugh at the crap, but there are always a few things that I like...wonder what the Futurama stuff will be this year.

Amen! The Toybiz build-a-Galactus was awesome. This new one seems aiight...but I'm not sure I like the modern head sculpt. All the extra detail is annoying. He looks like he's from Ultimate Alliance:

The one thing I *do* like about the new Hasbro fig is that they got his build right. The Toybiz is just way too skinny.

The funny thing about this to my mind is that it just looks like a regular toy set for kids, not a collectors' market or "art" toy. Given the DC licensing I'm assuming that's what it is, even if it's going to debut at SDCC.

I don't care if the movie was cool, these are just hideous. It's beyond tiresome that so many "toys" ape that post-Kubrick/Bearbrick sort of hand. Why not? If KR could make a bundle by ripping it off for their platforms, why not everyone else, right? Meh and bleh.

    Keep the atrocities comin'!

I really like that Galactus figure...but Hasbro is hell on earth during sdcc, and they seem to hate exhibitors...rightly so in some cases, but it makes it hard when you just want the toy.

That Dexter with child bobble is god-awful.

I agree. In fact Hasbro taking over teh Marvel license was a godsend in one way - stopped me ever buying them again. The Heroin addict White Queen was the final straw. Toybiz really rocked those Marvel Universe figures and Hasbro killed em.

If my girls find out about this I'm toast. Is this an SDCC exclusive? If so, anyone want to mule two for me?

On another note, I'd take this in a rainbow of colors:

Very interesting preview of SDCC. I really want the Tron Bearbrick. And after the shock wore off, I got into the two yellow suited guys with wings.
I'm fascinated by the Amanda Louise teethy found beings.
