I don't know him personally, or have any proof of anything, so I can't just come out and say "I'm being scammed!" I just can't help but think that there's something wrong when two packages shipped between October 19th and October 27th have yet to arrive at his doorstep, and when it has happened in the past. Could there possibly be an issue of address? If there was something wrong, it would just make it's way back home, no? Perhaps some guy at PostNL is jacking any Ollies that make it to the Netherlands (both of the recent packages lost in customs have been Ollies). Who knows, maybe they'll turn up-I would hope so, I'm not wishing bad luck for anyone, I just want everyone to be happy with their transactions. I'm still heading down to the post office tomorrow to file a claim (if they're open).
Ok its time for you to quit your whitchhunt! I recieved hundreds of packages, never a problem. I have never had any problems sending my packages to others. Yes in the hundreds of things (mostly toys) i bought it happeded a few times I did not recieve the item I bought. I was scammed. Someone tryed to scam me or a package got simply lost. In most cases I will never know what really happened. I can only build my idear of what happened on straight up facts... Besides the fact I did not recieve above items I was never given any info if the items where shipped at all.. In your case I have inquired numerous times at my countrys customs and tnt post with the number you gave me. They do not know your shipping number, they can not find the package. The only thing they do tell me is that if a foreign package enters the Netherlands the shipping numbers get stored in a database. If the number is not in the database it did not enter the Netherlands. These are my facts, I have no Ollie, you have my first release restore and I have a shipping number unknown to Dutch customs and tnt post.. Am I the one to blame!?
Why do you keep doing this? I didn't say you were scamming me, I said I have my suspicions, but I have no evidence. I understand that you are upset and have every reason to be suspicious just the same, but now you're the one flat out saying these other people scammed you when you have no proof yourself. Earlier you said to me privately you felt you didn't need to defend yourself in this thread, yet here you are. Since making that statement, have I said anything rash? I've merely stated the facts, my suspicions, and my reason for having such. I'm going to attempt to file a claim for your sake. You have every right to share your side of the story, but there's no need to make me out to be starting a "witch hunt." I kept your name private up until I received inquiries from other members who messaged me on a hunch, asking if you were the person I'm having trouble with. At this point I felt it was necessary to ask if anyone else has had any problems-I think most would do the same. I accept this is most likely a misunderstanding and extremely bad luck on your part, but we'll never know unless a package arrives at one of our doorsteps. I'm not calling you a liar, no matter how hard you try to make yourself the victim. I'm only stating that something is wrong here, be it you, your address, PostNL, or USPS. I hope you receive your packages. Until then, I'm going to head down to the post office on Tuesday to see what more I can do on my end.
Let me note that Martoy Black has refunded the money from my previous payment for the Ollie-I am currently waiting for the payment to process, at which point I am willing to consider making another payment to reset the time I have to file a claim.
Hello all, unfortunately I'm sender num. 4 with a lost package to the Netherlands. I don't know what the hell is going on with their postal service (or otherwise) but I thiink Martijn, that you could warn people about this. We lost a Mescalgon just like this. I refunded your money and sadly never turned up. I did send with tracking number but never appeared. And also, unfortunately for me, the insurance wouldn't cover more than 50 bucks. From all my years collecting, it's the only lost package I've had.
Hey Ax, yes we did, and yes I almost always request to ship with tracking. This seems to be a 100% safe. HB's Ollie has turned up at Dutch customs though. Glad that eventually worked out. I don't have him in hand yet but that should happen somewhere next week. They could not determine the value of the package so they could not calculate the importfee that I have to pay. I had to email them the paypal invoice and they assured me I should have him next week including a customs import fee invoice.
though im luckily not sender no. 5 with a lost package this sounds like a nightmare. i feel totally sorry for you man! as you are a super cool board member who helped me out a lot. curious what was last tracking info that you received???
I'm going to add that I just made a transaction with him maybe two weeks ago that was flawless. Took maybe a week for each of us to receive our respective trades.
I had two packages lost in the mail recently - the tracking number said they were delivered & signed for, but of course they weren't. I spent a morning visiting various PO branches with the tracking #s in hand, until I was finally sent to an annex for general delivery, and sure enough, they were there. Apparently the postman couldn't be bothered to deliver 'em, marked 'em delivered on the computer anyway, and brought them back to the post office (thanks, dude.) Moral of the story, don't lose hope! Toy Karma points, the seller kept trying to refund me, but I wouldn't let him - I knew my mailman had screwed up somehow - he (the mailman) looks like Charles Manson, and seems just as screwy...
Thanks F! It was a nightmare indeed! The last tracking info I received was for the package leaving Mexico. It appear on the outbound to Netherlands 'box'. And then no info on Martoy's side. He tried to find the package, I tried, Mexico's post tried and nothing. After 6 months they stop trying. Also I don't think they look vvery hard. Thanks for the concern and kind words!
