Had to look it up cuz I personally didn't believe it. Unbelievable loss for the Star Wars universe, but he will not be forgotten anytime soon! RIP

That is sad news, Mr. Baker was in several of my all-time favourite movies in fact. I addition to his wonderful stint in the SW films as the delightful domed fella, he had roles in Flash Gordon, Time Bandits, Willow, and Labyrinth. While maybe not a household name for most people, Star Wars fans know him very well, and I think it is sad to hear for most anyone who can recognise what an iconic cross-cultural and generational character R2-D2 has become, even more so than most of the 'actor' roles. He leaves behind a monumental legacy and contribution to film, and many people's hearts. May he RIP.
Time Bandits is such a fun classic! He was in some great flicks, RIP Kenny. Warwick Davis posted this on Twitter: #RIP #KennyBaker. Sad to say goodbye to a small man with a huge heart & personality. He paved the way for short actors of a generation. x
When I worked at Disneyland in the Tomorrowland area, I had the pleasure of working with one of the ewoks. She always had nice things to say about Mr. Baker. RIP
