@Joe- That is Agnes Lum. She is now old enough to be your mother. I don't know how many of these there are out there. I think I am missing the pink one. @Abe- These are prizes given out by Marmit at various shows. Some were blind-bagged, some not. Tons of different versions out there.
i have always passed on the gray alien but this picture makes it a want! so we have in this similar series: Flatwoods Mothman (previous pages) Pascagoula creature (above) Hopkinsville goblin (above) Grey Alien(above) were there any others released?
I believe that is all of them. Of course the Flatwoods eventually was re-released under the Globsters banner and later under Marmit again. The UFO guys are really cool. I wish other vinyl companies would tackle cryptids and ETs more often. I guess there are the UMA finger puppets and the Tsuchinokos from Bear Model and M1.
I wonder if Mike Johnson can... Other than that, I think you can use most Y!J deputy services to order directly from Marmit's website.
US preorders usually run about 2x Japanese retail going through a buying site is just a little less that 2x usually (hopefully that will help you retain, but Im guessing not judging by your collection)
That new Mummy Man rules. So sad a big company like Marmit cannot offer US distributors a more reasonable rate. 2 x retail usually drives me away. Besides we all know wait a few months and you can get it for Japan cost.
Ah crap...I totally forgot about Grumble Toy. Hilarious because I just placed an order with them yesterday! Didn't know S7 offered Marmit preorders, too...good to know. But what I *definitely* didn't know was that preorders via US sites are around 2x retail. What the fuck? At that point, it WOULD be better to order direct from their website via deputy service...
I doubt/hope they are not 2x. I think marmit retail is around 6000 yen or around $67.50. The dealer is also taking into account the shipping from japan. I would guess most would be around 100-110 each. The best thing for the prices would be for the dollar to stronger and the exchange rate to jump back up to a few years ago. Then I could bid freely on yahoo.jp again and maybe even win.
There are several places in the US that should be able to get them. I am lucky and have a friend in Japan.
What I meant by that is that after importing costs and shipping etc its about 2X. Not saying ppl are gouging just saying that you pay about 2x as much as you would in japan.
Everything adds up. I have been to a couple of shows in Japan were Marmit will not sell the show items to you. You had to pre-order them before or some wierd thing. If I spoke Japanese, maybe that would have helped to. So I am giving marmit a knock against them ruling
