Sorry if I went over your helmet Kirby, but I saw the news and thought it was pretty important. Kirby's moving to 2780 N. Lincoln Avenue. Which is awesome for me because it's closer to my house (not much, but hey I'll take what I can get). Congrats and good luck Kirby, any big events for opening night?
Now that I moved IN the city it's closer to me too, again not much like Bryan, but hey I'll take it! I just drive down Lincoln to get there it seems.
yeah, i can probably walk to the new location, which is great. might go check it out soon just to see what it's gonna be like. it'll be good to see everything in a different kind of space.
i guess we could go on the opening day if they decide to do anything special and then leave town from there. that could save gas
Glad to hear it'll be closer for some people, and appreciate the words of encouragement. We're going to need them, still lots of work to do! August 27 is opening day/night (haven't decided yet if we'll be open all day or just evening on the first day) is also the opening reception for the Playboy Redux exhibit... http://rotofugi.com/playboy/ We're still open at the original location through August 22.
I'm calling it now: I'll walk into one of those posts one day. I'll be looking at something, turn around, SMASH! Looks awesome guys!
Them's working hours for me so it's a no show. If it was open like regular hours I'd hit it though. Maybe Sat or Sun.
Had a chance to swing in, NICE! It's much larger and open and very cool looking. Classic Chicago building. The Gargamel show will rock there.
The Gargamel show will indeed rock there. Not too many skullbrainers there tonight, so I hope to meet some of you at the Gargamel show. You can't even see the whole gallery in this picture.
Is that you in the pic to the left? I saw you (or him) though. If you saw a dude in red medical scrubs then you saw me. Work let me off early but I had some stuff to do so I swung in, walked around, didn't see anyone I knew, bought a pocket Zag and split. The people in nice clothes with expensive shoes creeped me out so I didn't stay around long, but the shop looks really nice, congrats guys!
hah, yeah. the place was packed for the first two hours and there were all sorts of people i'd never seen or expected to see. there's really no way to tell who is on the forum unless you don't already know (though you can generally tell who isn't) there was only one guy i saw in red medical scrubs, so cool that you were able stop by. pretty excited for Gargamel myself
Do you mean to the right? Thats not me.. that's resinate^. I was with him wearing my green Greasebat shirt though. Definitely remember seeing you. You were one of the few people that actually got to speak with Jen on the other side of the counter. The amount of people definitely put me outside my comfort zone, but hey, good for roto, right?
