    Hmm, I don't know. I am all in for mutated sea bass, but is that gonna be genuine laser vision or just some simulated kid-friendly kind?

    I see a crazy radioactive uzumaki/nautilus-inspired kaiju as a great companion piece :mrgreen:

    I like to think that Salamander Joe created the Boss Carrion, but the Boss turned on him and is now traveling through different dimensions. Joe is fixated on destroying the Boss, so he too had to jump through various dimensions in search of him. :razz:

    Why does this have to evoke KR, or be called a bad joke gone bad?
    Why don't we just regard it as (like Paul himself said) an interest gauge.
    If at some point people started pestering Paul in regard to this list, then that would be bad behavior, and would suck; then, I think, the KR comparisons would be more appropriate. Hopefully it won't happen at all. For now, though, I think we're just stating to Paul our strong and definite interest in this figure... I don't see anything wrong with it, as long as no one pins hopes on it.

    (To be fair, I should state that I never hung around KR much (just enough to be turned off- in other words, very, very little), so practices that seem reminiscent of that place do not resonate as strongly with me...)

    Well, it would seem that simply by talking about the figure that would be a decent way to gauge interest. Lists are just annoying and lazy...every time the thread title turns orange I gotta click it only to see more list.
    If a toy maker says "Hey I'm making this - if you want one make a list" then yeah, that's a list worth putting your name on (if you want the figure, that is).
    Whatever - not a big deal, just a minor irritant.
    Looking forward to seeing some painted versions. I know Paul said he's thinking minor spray, but I hope we see a few wild ones too!

    Yeah, I do hear you on that... it would be good if the thread was more balanced by comments on the figure itself. :roll: Allow me to provide some ballast, then: I think that Paul is paying more than a passing nod to Dada, in SJ's overall body shape, right down to the pointy shoes! I wonder if we'll see a Dada color version- twisted-up, salamanderiffic black, white and pink! :twisted:

    I would definitely snag a Dada version SJ if I owned another Dada figure (I don't, currently) to display him next to... it'd be like, "This is your Dada.... this is your Dada on drugs."
