I had one of those perfect mistakes the other day. Like some long forgotten toy trapped in your yard, I give you Sandbox Gargamess.

It was an all white Gargamess. I never took any before pictures. I'll be sure to do that next time.

That's a great concept. So what was it that went so nicely wrong?

I had it painted solid pink with no primer. I was going to try and do some purple metallic along the sides of the faces to play up the hair. The paint went on way to thick and it just looked weird.

I decided to go and wash it off in the sink. The pink was on pretty thick so the effect you see kind of just happened as I rubbed paint off. I got all the purple off but kind of liked how the head was looking after doing that. There were these grooves of purple that stayed. So I just kept layering on paint and scrubbing it off with my hands. It took about a week total but I really like how it came out. It feels like something i might have lost when i was a kid, so i'm glad to have it back.

    Thanks again for the feedback.

What type of paint were you using?

I used Createx airbrush paints on it.
