Since when was flipping something to be boasted about? Because it's not your kind of toy that you're selling then it's OK? The same pieces of shit that buy up sofubi to flip after NYCC also think it's OK because it ain't their scene.

First off, I have had this for a few years and used to collect funko, so I wouldn't call it flipping. I was approached by old collectors that people are looking for rare POP items and are paying a premium for them. Since I stopped collecting and no longer have need for these in my collection, why is it a bad thing that I get those most I can for it. I was really looking forward to getting a Snot Blower and when I got the opportunity to purchase one I made a decision to sell an item I no longer care about to be able to pay for the Pushead figure.

I have been a long time collector, here, on Skulllbrain for many years and have sold very few items, or the ones I have, at a good price for others to purchase. I am not just a fipper who got something then immediately turned it for a profit!

Know your facts before blindly calling someone out!

Very touchy subject.. but what it boils down to is that we have all bought toys in the past that we are no longer psyched about and if there are people out there willing to pay a little extra for a toy that is hard to find then what's the harm in that? There was a genuine desire for the piece in the first place, and if by selling it you can afford to get something that you really want then that's great.

There's a big difference between doing that and buying for the sake of flipping.. jumping onto sites for toys that you know will be sold for twice as much the next day, or entering lotteries with 10 fake emails... preventing people from paying a fair price for a toy they have made space for in their collection.

I don't see any appeal to Funko Pops at all (although I did buy the recently released Slimer because the idea of suspending him in clear green plastic slime was a great way of executing the toy.. an surprisingly thoughtful compared to most Funko Pop releases) but apparently a lot of people are going crazy for them. It seems to be a mix of pure hype/sheep mentality/lack of general taste (how else would movies like TMNT and Transformers be so successful this year??) They aren't real toy collectors, if they were they would see how fucking shit 99.9% Funko Pops are (minus my boy Slimer of course).

Ok maybe that was a bit harsh.. but Vinyl Pops are Taylor Swift of vinyl toys. People will eat it up with even thinking about it.

I'm fine with it Wizeguy - just fyi (yes I know you/ery one else does not care most likely). I don't come here frequently but from a more recent visit I've learned it's prob best not to bring up anything related to profit type situations. The guidelines here are incredibly questionable but have been deemed the mantra so best bite your tongue/fingers and keep it to yourself. & the new guard act like a bunch of 3rd grade brown nosers upon broaching the subject so don't expect any love.

    Dumbest thread ever.

One man's garbage is another man's treasure. I am not a fan funko but to boast about a trade for it. Sort of how I feel about that snotblower. Love Pushead art and most sb/pushead toys but that swap? To each his/her own but two words: Neat and next.

Honestly if I had a "snotblower" there are a tons of toys I would have traded for it. Finn (adventure time), biskup, Gargamel, etc.
