Shut up! you got Mark to hang out with all I have is Jakelarntz lol Need to come visit you guys soon!
anyone going to emerald city comic con? Thinking of heading down for it, but not expecting anything in the way of toys.
Nope, I'm in Vancouver. Trying to work out if it's worth the bus ride to just go for Friday. Are there a few of you guys in Seattle? I think there's about 3 of us Brainers in Vancouver. I would be down for a Pacific North West meet-up / trade fest at some point, doesn't have to be at ECCC. In a place like the 'Couv, you're only Kaiju friend is the postman - and he's often reluctant to come in and help open your package : )
I'm new to the Seattle scene, But would love to get this up and banging. We can always host a trade fest at Hip Hop Robot. Maybe have a cook out. I can say 100% coming from NY that it can be awesome to close the vast distances these toys usually cover. Alittle show, tell, & trade never hurt a hobby
We will definitely have to do something at hip hop robot once stegoforest vinyl is ready. The resin show was fun. We had live music and a BBQ.
Bumping this dusty thread as I will be in Seattle this weekend for ECCC, but I was also wondering if there are any good shops to check out?
I'm coming to Seattle April 12th to 17th. Sort of a family vacation my sis planned. I'll be armed with a camera (and a trip to Kerry Park to try an get that iconic skyline pic) and an appetite for Dungess crabs and those crazy hotdogs (oh and fucking coffee)!
It's not Kaiju, but Archie McPhee has some great crazy, weird, and fun toys. You can get a sampling of their store here... https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/archie-mcphee-seattle?start=30 http://archiemcpheeseattle.com/tour/ factoids http://archiemcpheeseattle.com/
Post some photos if you go! *it's like your favorite childhood prank, party, costume, gag, candy, and toy store on steroids p.s. got to get a hand kitty! https://mcphee.com/collections/cats/products/handicat
Seattle SB'ers I love your city! Staying at the Paramount, everywhere I've gone I'm just dumbfounded. Might head out to Blue Owl in Fremont this weekend to get myself some selvedge jeans.
Here's the postcard shot (from Kerry Park) I took one evening around 8pm (froze my ass off waiting for the lights to come on). I loved Seattle, I'd move here in a minute but from what I gathered its mostly tech jobs with Amazon & Microsoft etc and really expensive to live there. I'm a lowly environmental scientist seeking my first entry level job so not sure I could get one here. Beautiful city though and the scenery took my breath away.
