Yeah Ian you did a great job with those new pics. Especially this one. It's extremely hard to get those "poured on the inside gid vinyl" to glow. I have the other crawly (orange) and with the exception of his face with a direct light source I can never get the guy to glow very well. Perhaps the outer layer of vinyl is too thick for a true glow. Even when it does it's very very brief.
Yeah, I have the Dead by Gun Skullbrain that has the pour in GID vinyl and it doesn't glow very well at all.
purdy...they shine...drool...black light good. Seriously though, that's fine toyness in great photos!
Aw man... All this time I've been wondering why my glow pics didn't come out too well and even needed a little contrast tweaking despite 15 sec. exposure until this thread made me realize I've had the aperture all the way up to 8. D'OH..! Time to retake some glow pics:
I'm pretty new to vinyl, as to be honest I never thought I would get into it at all. Thus far, though, I've found I really do love the glowies. Don't have any photos of my whole (less than 10 pieces, ha!) glow collection yet, but here's my first attempt at photographing something while glowing*: *My brother did all the work. I just charged up the glow, and set it down where I was instructed. We don't have a lightbox or anything yet, so it's just by the microwave and coffee maker.
nice image slack...!!! I'm sure vga is glowing with nothing but mad respect from all these killer pix that everybody keeps pumping into this magical thread...!!!
My first glow shots (Itokin pieces of course): S7 Show Mikas One Up Anniv Himalan and Leecifer Himalan
These are blacklight photos so the pink mika and the nano are not "glow" but look great none the less, imo. Both are PK customs. upgraded shot
