The pieces look great Joe, really love the flaked CK. Almost looks like same base vinyl as the new Bernie I just got from Rich, which I love (or is it the same???). Hoping to get my second piece from you this weekend and I look forward to meeting you.
Thank you! I'm not sure if I've seen that particular toy or not. I've been away from the vinyl world for a while.
Not much here I can parrot from myself and others that I haven’t textually bombarded Joe with already. Phenomenal offerings, all of which I’m saddened to be missing out on, but eagerly await photos from the lucky ducks attending. You’re gonna kill ‘em this weekend, Joe.
Nice, thank you, Joe. I have some photos saved a white version with metallic colored sprays that just looks awesome. Would love to find one some day.
Unfortunatelyy they were a TAG collaboration, and like most of their projects they ran into issues with getting actual orders pulled. Not many out there.
yeah i thought it was a great idea... five points would be a very relaxing show if more artists did this kinda stuff. for now only preshow lottos i know of were this and instinctoy. i love the concept and would like to see it used more.
I will post my pieces later in the week but it was such a pleasure to meet with Joe and see his exhibit. I ended up getting three pieces from him (I meant to get the flaked CK but i totally forgot when he showed me the CK beta micro run he did lol).
@Madmax405 the same thing happened to me! I came in looking for the black gloss CK Beta, but that micro-run turned out to be the biggest surprise of my time at Five Points. Thanks for the heads-up when you got it; I'd have totally missed it otherwise. Of course now I wish I'd got both Here's a high-res photo of him; forgive the dust. One thing that I couldn't photograph properly is the finish on the body. It seems there's a glossy varnish almost everywhere but the face, which makes the toy slightly reflective. Very interesting to play with and not something I've seen before. More photos including a special cameo by my second buddy from Splurrt under the cut. Thank you @JoeMan! Spoiler: More photos
I painted those CK Betas Friday night. It’s actually a matte black and then I put a matte clear coat on top of the silver and red to make it all matte. I thought they looked pretty cool with the minimalist matte black finish.
@JoeMan you clearly sold us both instantly... as soon as i got back to @zindabad and he saw it he ran to you for the last one... love it!!!
