Saw it last night. Really dug it! Story about the group from triumphs to tribulations was really well done. Great casting all around and the grittiness was pretty spot on. I was hoping they would do this movie justice and I for one was pleasantly satisfied with how it all came together. I had high hopes and this actually exceeding my expectations. Cube's son is so good as Ice Cube that halfway through the movie you almost forget its not really Cube! I was a fan growing up and this movie brought back memories about hearing "Boyz in the Hood" on Cassette the first time I heard of NWA! I recommend it for anyone interested in learning about "The Worlds Most Dangerous Group"! Two thumbs way up!
Fun fact: Straight Outta Compton was Priority Records' second release. Their first release was The California Raisins album.
they actually address this in the movie I saw it Tuesday... great movie... like how they threw in #ByeFelicia in there. Pac was cast horribly... the dude might look like pac off the screen in shots, but nowhere like him on the screen, and tried way too hard to be pac... ehh... should of used Richard Garcia for it... Pick and choose what was shown also... Dre from NWA all the way to when he decided to start aftermath... yet no Mention of when he slapped Dee Barnes...
