This was a pretty biggun. I'll let the photos and end price speak for themselves, and for others to do the digging. But this special figure came out of a large grouping of 'discovered' toys (some of which I've posted here before), and I think was one of the 'grail' pieces we've seen from that lot. This guy actually has some condition issues, but - in this rare case - I'd almost suggest that that is a good thing, because without them you might easily overlook what is so special about the toy*. I think the cracked wing actually kept the price 'down' if you can believe that (it's all relative). A nice prize, but so far out of my realm of spending I have to enjoy these figures just through books and the rare auctions. 1st edition Marusan Peguila (brown paint w/ silver accents on blue vinyl), sold for 1,021,000円 * check out that dark '66 blue vinyl poking through! Honestly, as I said, the wear and wabi-sabi nature of this guy actually make it more desirable in my books. I could do without the crack, but still. What a piece. Glorius.
