I'm not very familiar with this figure, but the colorway of this piece is one of the best.

I am sure we all faced a similar situation to that mask story before - and it does not get any better over time! ;) As a diecast robot collector, the prices I see people pay for small missiles, fists, etc. kill me. Unless you pay top dollar for a complete boxed figure up front, just assume you will never reach completion on that particular toy. I have come to accept incomplete items at the time of purchase for the sake of my sanity and wallet.

Since we are posting some newer non-vintage items in this thread, here is another in the same vein. Another Toygraph figure. I think that all of these smaller shop "designer" items (not sure why I am calling them that - just seems to fit in my mind) are just skyrocketing in price lately. Crazy. I dig this GID version. I have a normal painted one (not the brown one) and love it, and I was hoping to add this too to my collection. I guess that is out of the question.

I fully agree with your sentiment here, @Kingboy D . Here is a fresh example of that exact situation for me from early this morning:

Bullmark mid-size missile-firing Mechagodzilla sold for almost double the price of the last YJA auction that I could find from years ago, and this one doesn't even have any missiles included. Some of you might remember that I recently scored one of these in a pile of junk Bullmark toys for ¥4800, and probably only because it was missing the tail piece. I feel great about having this toy in my collection in any form, and comparing what I paid against this huge amount of money makes me feel even better about it. I will probably be chasing that missing tail forever though. ;)

I am as well, believe me, but I just spent some bucks on something I wanted quite a bit more... ;)

It seems to me that the red cylinder of the chest is to launch some kind of missile or something, like the gorilla made by Bullmark.

Ugh...I'd LOVE to score that Bandai missile-fire Inazuman...but that's a whole lotta yen.

This toy was one of three in a series of hero missle-firing vinyl from Bandai, really cool to see this. They came in an individual window box, all with the same firing mechanism, three white hard plastic missles and printed color cards of villains that could be plinked. They were Zero Tester, Diamond Eye and this Inazuman, in order of rarity. I posted a pic of my MIB Diamond Eye here a while ago. This particular toy is insanely rare. The missle firing mechanism is the most deadly, outlandish missile mech I've ever seen. When I first met my wife about 12 years ago, this Diamond Eye missle-firing vinyl was my favorite toy. The very first time I showed her my toy collection I pulled him out of the box and he promptly shot her right in her eye. And by that I mean shot from about 10 inches away and ricocheting off her open eyeball. I'm talking perfect marksmanship. Kinda felt like if that didn't put her off my weird shit then she's probably a keeper. That, and the cool fact that her eyeballs had just been proven to be made of steel, pretty sure I would have cried like a baby.
    Cheers

@fission chips - One of the best stories I have read all year, thank you. Also, glad to hear your wife survived her initial run-in with Diamond Eye.
