I'm thinking this could be very interesting. In the video it appears to be some sort of eight-legged insect(Video linked below). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZdJhwCylgM&feature=player_embedded
that vid rules its like the ancient stories of end time beasts that eat men! tARGET EARTH is so precise with nailing a true vintage toy style for sure
so stoked to see this finally getting released! its based off a vintage model kit pollution monster i will try to dig out a pic i know its around here...
well i suggest trying to make a 5-7 peice vinyl doll yourself so you can fully understand how much goes into making a vinyl doll if you can do it in less than 4 months you would still need to pay mold & production costs prior to ever selling a single doll you think you are up to the task? now try making over a dozen full size dolls in the same timeframe and still doing more! LONG LIVE TARGET EARTH!!!
^^^ indeed. I wasn't slamming Target Earth. I think they're great, I too love their toys, and I truly am not seeking a toy manufacturing competition with them! But, by the advertisement, it would appear as though the sculpt and casting phases are finished. Perhaps I'm wrong. But either way it's good that they're setting delivery expectations with a four month lead time. No need to read anything beyond that into my posting. Thanks.
ok well you adding seemed you were just infact laughing at Target Earth delivery time. me adding was not directed at you personally but to the lack of understanding of how much effort goes on to produce anything- it can be a headache honestly with mold issues, wax issues & unseen flaws etc. the lack of understanding most folks have about toy production is a shame really. if you love this stuff support it but don't laugh at delivery times unless you do it yourself. point being is no producer big or small cranks out something fast to get it to market infact 99% will spend extra time refining a perfect sculpt/mould then same goes for the wax etc. in areas that most folks would not even notice or care about honestly. in the past Target Earth did take a long time to deliver & the new medicom doll we are talking about was scupted about 3-5 years ago. it was shelved for various reason along with a few other sculpts. nothing i said was a personal attack but to encourage everyone to dig deeper into the process of toy design & become more aware how special the end results are no matter the span of delivery. Target Earth B-monsters came out with no prior notice so who knows how long those were in the works. more B-Monsters are nearing production soon plus many many more monster dolls are coming out from the hands of Mr. Sato, Target Earth, Marmit Medicom etc. i agree it can be frustrating to wait for anything but in regard to Japanese made monster doll i am willing to bet i am not alone in saying getting the finished doll in hand is always worth the wait
Ok dug out the old boxart this new Medicom Target Earth doll was based on by Sato-san- its really a great sculpt & likeness. would be extra cool if they made crushed vinyl train omake! Thank you Medicom & Marmit for making it finally happen! saku03 by b-eaK, on Flickr
yer welcome! here are a few others in the series one was the influence of Gebora obviously, it would be awesome to see Sato-san render these other two as well. i love the beaK monster best! saku02 by b-eaK, on Flickr saku01 by b-eaK, on Flickr Sato-san doing original takes on existing arcane creatures is masterful & i am really looking forward to seeing this after seeing the concept drawing so long ago Baphomet

How many PAINTED Faceless Bulls are there? 2? Brown and red? I know there's a number of unpainted but can't think of any other painted then the 2 I just mentioned.
Thanks. Holy shit I need that black (or dark blue?) one! Is that other painted on the gold lame vinyl?
And unpainted purple. The red rules. I had the brown but wasn't in love. The red totally knocked me out though.
