Yep, yep. John beat me to it. I thought the name was " Beta-Tek " though. All 3 painted beautifully @xSuicide Squadx highly recommend the GID w/ gold paints if you ever see it available, one of my all time favorite toys.
@RyanM Ugggggggh. I LOVE red vinyl with metallic blue sprays. I'll be on the hunt, but with only five releases, I'm sure it's somewhat impossible! So far the one full size GID Kusogon I have is it for painted GID, but I do love it!
Glad to see these are creeping out, albeit the one off prices kill me. I look forward to the TE version.
Looking at the other photos of this doll, I think the SHB version might be a combination of the torso of Lowbrow with the other parts of the Bump Golem. The eyes and mouth are crazy!
I got the updated information, which he also posted up to his blog. I think this at least gives wiggle room. If anyone reading this enjoys TE, now would be a good time to offer support in the form of thoughts. We sometimes take for granted things which we enjoy. I want to say thank you Mr. Sato for your craft. I realize the delays are hard to deal with, imagine pulling vinyl in a poor state of health... Pure Dedication. I think we are all pulling for a strong recovery for Mr. Sato. This hobby teaches you patience, or should at any rate, and I think no one really has any right to be judgemental - especially against creators - in these situations. Just be thankful for what you get, when you are able to get it, and appreciate the efforts, inspiration, and dedication that has went into bringing that piece of vinyl into your hands. While a lot of people may not realise it now, what with the incredible sums of money and attention being heaved on 'certain areas' of the hobby, the soft vinyl industry and everything it represents has been sustained by the efforts of small companies and artists Iike Sato-san) for decades, long before there was this era. Yes, it's true that people can get into it now more easily, and business models/structures/distribution systems/media/etc. is all there now to be taken advantage of, one must also recognise that this wasn't always the case. Anyways, rambling over, best wishes to Mr. Sato, I look forward to seeing these toys come out when they do, and hopefully TE works will continue to delight many appreciating fans for long to come.
The update is certainly appreciated and nothing but well wishes to Mr. Sato and hopes of a speedy recovery. With that said, if anyone is putting vinyl above the physical/mental health of the creator or themselves they need to take a deep breath and look at their life priorities.
I unfortunately didn't get in on any of the recent and newer TE toys to support, but I certainly do wish Mr. Sato - San the best and hope he regains as much of his health and strength as possible. Concentrating on treatment really does, and should, take the driver's seat. In any event, best wishes and hopeful for better/cleaner health.
I hope Gensho Sato's health improves. I don't own any of his toys but I do care that he gets better more than anything else.
Get well soon Mr. Sato.. Seriously hoping he will continue to take it easy and put himself first, no matter certain pressures he feels to produce these pieces. He should see that real fans of his work should be patient and considerate to himself the artist.
