It seems like people are just being lazy with their typing around here lately. It's obvious when someone is struggling with a language barrier, and that's fine, but some EFLs are clearly not trying. It only takes a moment to look it over people. I'm not saying everyone needs perfect spelling and grammar. I'm just saying people should read over their posts and make sure they typed words that at least sound like what they are trying to say, and those words are in the right order. It's not that hard.
I second this question. I think you are guilty of your own accusation here. What are you trying to say?
personally, i don't give a shit. although i HATE it when people mix up "your" and "you're" arrrghhh. always drives me nuts!
That's why you use "UR" for "you're." Durr. Also, let me add to this: I hate when people misspell or truncate the names of toys in their want lists. If you can't take the time to figure out the name of that toy that you desperately need, why should anyone help you track it down?
So many people make that mistake, but when you're typing fast and just want to get the thought out, it's easy to miss. You can all stop shaking your fists and canes now
EFL = English as a First Language (aka Standard British English) ESL = English as a Second Language (i.e. American English etc.)
I just don't understand the purpose or point of purposely trying to misspell a word. For instance, when people write.."dood" instead of dude. I don't understand why people do that. The one thing that does drive me nuts is the current "z" craze. TOYZ!
