Or...use the original moleskine idea, but hold a random drawing each time for each page so it always goes to an active member
True...I think the only way this thing will work is if it's done digital. Just have someone start with a drawing or whatever and post it here. Then the person next in line can respond and do the same and so on until it's ready to be assembled.
Oh the irony......my quotes are still on page 12 as well (still feel the same way). I agree digital is the only way to get this done apparently.
Pretty sure this is the guy... Colin Rodgers http://facebook.com/colin.rodgers666 These are just guesses but all I could find: He may or may not work as a kitchen manager at Cabo Fish Taco in Roanoke, VA He may actually live in Purcellville, VA He may have eaten the moleskine
It's almost better to have someone slit up a nice custom paper set. Send out the sheets of paper individually. I have a great international market where I can get some great water color paper, the nice heavy stuff. Mail it out, and have everyone mail back their sheet they where sent. I definitely don't mind organizing this, and possibly having a few people help. I have plenty of people on here who know how to get a hold of me if an unforeseen issues arise. If anyone's interested. Start the list. We'll say most of the original people will hopefully be interested. I definitely do not mind pay for and organizing this. And if it would make the participants feel better. After binding, we can make a very limited set where anyone who participated gets first dibs on the first limited edition book. I don't know, any further ideas? Anyone down?
Sounds like a good idea. I rather send out the book but I guess this idea is much better in making it happen. Sign me up.
The book idea is great, I'd rather do that by all means. But yeah, it just takes one bad instance than your stuck. I figure more people can enter at a later date too, as long as submissions are in by a certain time. I enjoy everyone's work sooooo much. And I just think this is too great an idea to let pass us up. If we find the original, then that will go on as planned and the one we are trying to organize now will be SB # 2. For those who have contributed and don't want to enter another drawing. We have great computer artist on here that can take a nice photo of your drawing and enter it in the book, if that's what you want to do. I don't want to put limitations on what you can do as long as if fits into a book. No 3d stuff unless your happy with just a photo of that, going into the final product. I'd like to give this a day or 2 to hear ideas from others. Again this is not my original idea, and don't want to take credit where it's not due. I'm just stating I have no problem taking this next phase of this on and help produce something special for those of us who really do enjoy each others contributions. Finding it in one collection of photos or illustrations. In tattooing a lot of us do this in different forms. Tattoo flash, sketch, painting, tattoo portfolios. So in very a custom to keeping these things going. The paper artists in this city are awesome, and it's meant for water color, nice heavy stock. But we can do other stuff like illustration board. We should nail down a size or dimension we all can use to keep it cohesive.
This post about iPhoto may help with some ideas http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=36494&p=797436&hilit=iphoto#p797436
Ouch, just read about how one of the books is now MIA. Really hope the jerk didn't end up selling it for toy money or something nefarious like that. If this project ever goes digital, I'd love to be on board. Not the best artist in the world, but I can doodle up something.
I'm not sure why this is still a sticky note on sb. Since it's inception 5 years ago..Not ONE SINGLE book has been complete.
