2nd row third from right. Guy with the purple suit and the real white beard. What's his name? I know he's from Spectreman because I've seen other versions of him by other companies. I happen to like the Masudaya comical take on him. Oh and I'm real proud of myself that I learned how to put katakana/ japanese characters together today. Makes YJA searching alot easier. Chris
The guy above him (first row, 3rd from right) is his henchman Ra. As someone here pointed out in another post somewhere, put them together Gori + Ra = Gorira - Japanese for gorilla. That Galtan card is pretty neat. I do not think that there is a model kit of him, just the old pachi kaiju card.
on that spectreman poster, what is the white figure on the bottom left corner? i dont think ive seen that dude before.
It's that 3-headed dragon. The name is different than from the Yuji book and I don't know why there is an illustration instead of a picture of the toy. Perhaps the toy was not yet made and available for photography. It is the hardest to find of the Spectreman kaiju.
the 3 headed dragon is almost impossible to get . goes for a ton of money and i have only seen it for sale once . thanks for sharing more great pics mark .
That comic is actually pretty common, it was put out by a comic book artist/wrestler who lately has gotten himself in some weird hot water by selling bootleg video copies of Space Giants episodes. He claims/claimed he owns the rights to all things Space Giants in the U.S. and was amusing himself by shutting down various Ebay auctions selling Magma Taishi stuff by claiming copyright infringement... I could go on but the best way to sum it up is.......
Here's the front side of the 1970'S Popy catalog featuring all the uktraman footprint kaiju figures - 6" ultraman figures and the Japanese only Kaiju figures - Got this in a Bagged Mecha Godzilla - 6 - panels about 18" long - some the the figures shown are pre-production (or atleast don't match the ones I have) I know there are variations in alot of them ....and I've been having trouble locating them in general/ Glad to see everyone's back (also glad I don't get in politics....much)
saw this on e bay .trading card monsters american style . i actually had these rubber monsters when i was a kid .
You guys shoulda seen these vintage kewpie kaiju cards that a member had at the recent Kaiju Invades NY show. I think they were like a mini deck of cards with the 1 side being all different kaijus. He had a few sets that he found in Jpn, and sold em to 2 other members on here at a great price(I'm wishing now that I had gotten one of em heh) You guys who got em need to take some pics and/or scan em in if you can I'm soo bad with names tho gah I can't remember who you guys were lol sorry
WOW! I remember having the Howard and Sandy cards. That had to have been in the 70's. Thanks for the flashback, those are too cool!
Funny you should mention Wolverton - he did a lot of the art for them. Called "Ugly Cards" produced by Topps. Several different series released starting in the mid-60's. There were usually two different names for each card image/picture making getting a set a real chore. And they did make small rubber monsters based on these cards pictures. I remember bins of them at the local "Rogers" 5 & dime. Man I miss those old type stores..........
Here are some Topps test market Wolverton posters from 1968 that never made it into regular release for being too disgusting. There is only 2 to 4 known examples surviving of each poster.
