I have to agree with Joe on US Toys. The sculpts are amazing and really capture the character of the different Gojis in a very minimal sculpt. I have the '64 Goji in Joe's pic on black vinyl and it is nuts, but my favorite of their 4 Goji sculpts is the '89 in orange.
For those of you who have the Slash Jumbosaurus Godzilla, is it taller than Marusan's scaled-up version of the original standard Godzilla?
My favorite is the M1 Bio-Goji Gold GID version. Especially in this pairing. Holy shit, does it make my mouth water. Also, pick obviously not mine. I wish I owned these guys.
I just measured the Slash at 16.5" so it should be a good 1-2" taller than the Marusan, though I don't actually have one to stand next to it.
How many different color variants did Slash make of that toy? I've seen the green and glow one, any others?
Well there are actually two glow versions: one with the classic green hide, with brown on his belly...and there's a mostly unpainted one with just black dots in his eyes and a light silver spray on his belly (and maybe fins, too). Not sure about the non-glowies...
Sanjeev is right about the 2 different GID versions. I have only seen the one non-glowie version which I think was Bullmark giant Godzilla colors, so that is 3 I am aware of.
Oh, yeah, I remember the one with silver spray. That was in the Morphy auction, right? The non-glow one I'm talking about was exactly like the original Popy Jumbosaurus, dark green vinyl with a darker green spray. When you say "Bullmark Giant Godzilla" colors, do you mean brown vinyl with green spray?
I think thie is the one you are talking about: http://www.sepia.dti.ne.jp/alices/Slash_company/ggozira/sale.html The website shows 7 color variations.
^^^ Whoa, I haven't seen most of those. Thanks for the link. This is the one I was talking about: That uses this paint scheme:
i have several that tie for the top spot, but if i had to choose one, this is it: marmit bubblegum pink unpainted godzilla, ready to rumble!
Wait--didn't I get my non-glowie Biollante...from you??? *Phew* Thank the gods they're not that rare--I only have two nuts, and I'd rather hold onto 'em!
Yeah, the gid painted set. I *think* I might have seen it available once...but I'm not sure. I've seen the unpainted gid set before once or twice, but even that's rare.
i think they did less then 10 sets, not sure. It was for some special event years ago. just have to watch yahoo.jp and prepare to go big
