^^ There's something about seeing "vintage" star wars in a mixed collection that just works for me. Very nice.
Thanks, y'all. The Ghost Captain is one of my favorites! If you run across one, it is totally worth it. Here's a little more. krotpongindustries, on Flickr
Almost happy with this cabinet after lots of arranging ...but I still have more Buta and Zollmen to fit in somewhere!
the dramatic lighting makes for a vivid, colorful photo! some under-shelf lighting would really bring to life the toys veiled in darkness in the back. you're going to need a second (third?) cabinet
agreed. lighting makes the all the difference when there's a lot of stuff in one spot/shelf/place. looks great!
Wow Ian that's a whole lot of shelf packing. How long did it take you to do that? I find rearranging fun because the toys just seem to magically find a way to fit. Usually its a pain at first, but then like a puzzle, certain pieces just fall into place.
Everything about that showcase is awesome - not only what's in it but the case itself - I love the sidetrack lighting and the medical display case feel to it. The matango collection is without peer.
Thanks for the comments! No space or money for a third cabinet Bill ! It's a bit of a squeeze but I'm going to thin out a few bits at some point. Ha! kaiju disco ball It's taken me weeks on and off Chris. Still not sure it's working either! I'm thinking of moving the Matango over to the right cabinet and gaining an extra shelf for more of the same on the left. Shame I can't cut and paste as swapping entire shelves around isn't a quick job!
^^^^^^There you go! What I've been waiting for, Ian! Yummiest goodies right there! Good call on the Matangos. More randomness will match the rest of the bottom shelves.
great setup! each toy is showcased. if you just add some price tags, it'd fit right in at super7. i guess displaying your toys is more important than having access to the closet?
thanks bill. It's tough to tell from this pick but the top two shelves are about 4-5 layers deep so you really have to move around to be able to see some of them good. I'm looking forward to getting the less filled shelves more packed though. the door in the right side of the pic leads to the same closet so I can still get to it.
So had to do some last-minute whittling before my move to Oregon...but here it is. I got a single-door nightstand to keep them safe from harm (and the crowd small). I left a little room for a couple other en-route pieces and maybe one or two I hope to score one day. my other kappa shonens are in a storage bin until i decide where they can go. total yawnsville compared to uh..well EVERYONE's collections haha--but I like it this way.
^ Kevin, I like the way you mounted those skateboard decks on your "man cave" walls. And that "Last Supper" deck is cool!
