Well, I hesitated to do this (i.e. start a new thread all the time) but I tried to drum up some interest in the Toy Event listings to no avail. Anyways, I have not seen much info on toy releases or attendees, outside of the usual places (thanks Andy!), so if you've got some stuff, post it here. I think the number of SBers attending these smaller events in Japan is generally limited anyways, so I am not blowing it up with hype or anything, but if that's what you feel, I apologise. Really just looking to share info with all the rest of us, and some great pics for people who can't attend. Official website (in Japanese): http://wf.kaiyodo.net/ Personally I am really liking the US Toys releases I have seen, and the new Amaresura colourway is pretty sweet as well. In terms of what I personally am looking forward to, is whether Kaiju Ken releases any of the new hero figures he has been working on. Speaking of one-day licenses, Mark N. has done some pretty cool stuff with his new Azumanga Daioh minis.
I'd love to get my hands on these Wonder Festival offerings from Sunguts. There is also a bonus "flabby monster" that you get when you buy all 4.
Atom A. Amaresura will be sharing a booth with FIG-LAB, NerdOne, Dr.StrangeToys, and Shamrock Arrow not sure if the Finger Five will debut but I heard Zoomoth has a new colorway of his baby metroid design and NerdOne's blog shows a really nice Samus piece: If you are unfamiliar with Shamrock Arrow, they made the Lamour Supreme x Mirock masters of the universe knock off (MOTUKO). I have not heard of Dr.StrangeToys but these look awesome (no idea if they will be on display)...
Fuck, I want that Samus. I'd love to see an alternate head version with the helmet removed too(too bad it's all 1 piece).
The Samus is my number one priority from this show. I'd love to get an unpainted and do it up gravity suit style or any of the alts from Brawl. Great pose. The new Kumon is a slam dunk as well. GID vinyl. Fucking awesome.
pretty sure they will be selling the unpainted Samus at the show, the other one is a sample... unless Google translate got it wrong =P
Is that really one piece? The colour one appears to have a seam in her mid-section. Either way I'd go an unpainted....also if it is a oner I wonder where they poured the vinyl in from? It's a pretty cool toy.
Mattyboombatty, I think animator means the head and torso are one piece. It looks like a total of 6 parts to me, but mybe only 4.
A few pics of the previously mentioned Zoomoth goodness: Metro-Cross, Splatterhouse, and Metroid Keshi: Two Baby Metroid variants: The Zoomoth guys are super cool, and make it pretty easy to buy any leftovers after the show via email. Can't wait to get their new Keshi! Kinnikuman exclusives: Five Star Toy x CCP x Figure King Yudetamago-chan Sofubi: Limited run of 29 Five Star Toy Kinnikuman Robin Mask Armour ver: Limited run of 29 figures CCP x Kinnikuman Ramenman Battle Damage ver:
It's really hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like that Splatterhouse keshi may be based on the Biggy Man boss from the Splatterhouse video games. I see a chainsaw arm and what appears to be a burlap sack on his head. If so, that'd be incredibly awesome.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/vinylriot/ ... /contacts/ WF Kumon. Anyone going could pick me up one of these. I wouldn't mind at all
on Zoomoth's site they refer to it as "Pigiman", along those same lines I have seen RxH's Mummy Glove translated as Mommy Globe, etc
Could not agree more, slit mouth woman was actually my favorite figure from SDCC and can't wait to see more from Ricky along those lines.
I'll have some pics on my instagram today. This place is HUGE! I'm sure Andy will have good coverage up by tomorrow.
If anyone is able to pick up a Sunguts Gamera for me, I'd be happy to pay you for the trouble. Man, that sculpt is great!
Ah...I thought so since I had seen pics in different positions before that....just had to clarify. Not having a joint at the neck never really worries me since I rarely pose my toys anyway.
