Is Friday a good day to go, or do most of the dealers and exhibitors show up on Sat?

Also, anyone know if there will be exclusive toys this year?

Most of the dealers and exhibitors should be there by the time the show starts. If you attend the panels, they just put up the progam schedule http://www.comic-con.org/wc/wc_prog.shtml I go on fridays because its usually less crowded.

I'll probably check it out during the weekend too. I've never been there, and after reading through their web site I'm a little confused about what to expect.... Is it mostly comics and some toys? Is it like a miniaturized version of ComicCon? Are sample comics handed out for free or is it basically a place to spend lots of money? Is it good for kids? Any guidance from a Wondercon veteran would be much appreciated!

Last year was my first year. My interpretation? Long line to get in and lots of people dressed up in star wars stuff. Tons of stormtroopers, star wars, lara croft etc.. everyone is really friendly though.

Lots of comics and independent comic venders. Signing etc. Usually there are movie previews in a selected area with some actors promoting their films.
It's basically what I imagine comicon in San Diego to be but on a much much smaller scale.
One thing is to remember is to bring cash just in case. A lot of the little places only accept cash and the atm machines ran out. I had to exit the con with my one year old son in the rain to go across the street to get money for a few purchases.

I had fun though. It's neat to see people that share the same passion about comics, toys, etc.

FRIDAY, SATURDAY, AND SUNDAY. I only wish they could include a Thursday too. Many artists will be doing sketches for free, but more will be doing small commissions. Its time for me to see many old friends. Its great for children (above 5). Many Hollywood stars will be there too -- but they usually hide them away, more or less, for the lucky few who know where and when to get the free tickets for the meet and greets. Wondercon is what San Diego used to be before it was discovered. Bring a sketchbook, a poster tube, and plenty of energy and you will have fun.

Thanks for posting that schedule! Looks like Saturday is a good day to go. Hopefully someone will give me their nametag on the way out again- although it's a bit awkward walking around with a guy's name on your tag all day(I'm not a guy).

Wonder what cast members from Star Trek and Terminator will be there?

It's so bizarre to me that they keep tagging Zach Synder as a "visionary" director. Really? He's directed like 2 films and the last one was practically all cgi.

That's why I stick to analog filmmaking... it rarely disappoints.
