Ha! No lucky for me we each have a bedroom with a bed in it, so I end up sleeping alone around twice a month. I don't mind I sleep better alone Ok back on track, here's one: When you contemplate renters insurance for the first time (due to the 95 yr.old man living below you with access to a gas stove)
...you look at blocky things and start thinking if they would make nice display risers. ...you don't need a ruler to know 3.5" (or 5" or 12")
..."I'm broke" really means that you have a bunch of cash in your paypal ready for next weeks [insert rad toy] drop and you cant spend it..
When you buy your significant other "Toys" just to somehow sucker them into your addiction... "What was that honey? I thought you've always wanted an Ollie, oh yeah I forgot, your more of an Itokin Park girl, huh.".
^ That is sweet! Birth metaphorically and literally, lol. That kougai kaiju bemon cake is well done! Who made it for you (i.e. professional, friend, family member)? What flavor was it? Aah, that its an awesome cake! (I myself had a"How to Train Your NieDragon" Cake for my 25th, lol. Now I need to see if someone can make me a Mibora cake for my 27th. )
It was a present from some collegues that aren't even into toys, they just saw this guy in the office, took some shots and got in touch with a pro You know you're a toy nerd when you obsess your friends with sofubi to the point that they'll get you a bemon cake... It was a lemon cream cake (or probably lime)
You work with some special people there. Ones that appreciate and celebrate your off-beat obsession with you. Wish you at least 40 more (I take it this was your b-day?) and keep this job as long as possible.
Thanks man! Yeah my collegues are great and it was indeed my b-day, a great surprise as I never realized they would've thought of a similar cake
wow, that cake is too cool. you have some great friends to hook you up like that! happy belated birthday too!
That is wonderful! It's hard to find great collegues like that who would go out of their way to suprise you with an awesome cake like that. Usually, they get some random cake from the grocery store, if that, lol. Anyways, awesome & yummy cake, great collegues, and happy birthday! woohoo!
Your Christmas list is full of more toys than it was when you were 6... except now, nobody has the faintest idea where or how to buy them for you.
This thread has made me very happy not sure why - comraderie? My toys ARE worth more than my car My toys did overtake the house (they now have their own storage space for display) My daughter has threatened psych eval for hoarding (she doesn't live here either) never mind - I think I fit all the comments I am happy to be declared TOY NERD
The past few bdays, xmas and even my wedding/anniversary gifts have boiled down to just "toy money" or "comiccon money". So much easier that way. I had toy cake toppers too, don't think I'm allowed to show them on this board though.
Mine has been exactly the same too. Tattoo money for both of us trips and what not. So much easier that way.
