    So I'm trying to get some stuff put on my iPod before my trip - I got some files sent to me via yousendit.com and after downloading it shows up as a blank white icon on my desktop. What do I do to convert it so I can dump it into iTunes? (I did this once a while back but completely forgot what I did.)
    Also, I'm on a Mac if that's important. And I'm just trying to get some This American Life podcasts - not stealing music (if that matters).

    I dunno. Basically it was in my wife's iTunes, I dragged it to the desktop where it was an MP3, uploaded it to yousendit as an MP3, downloaded it to my desktop and the file names appear as:
    d1UVfnRxNUUgEi5nQ2QFJi5gMDBvU0FvUTJXZCFcQCFjAEc9JA==

    The link at yousendit has it as an MP3 file, but it's not an MP3 once it hits my desktop.

    I would guess that you downloaded something other than the file. You may have downloaded the link to download the file. You should be able to give it another try. I yousendit .mp3s etc. all the time back and forth from work and the file name or extension doesn't ever change. I'm on a mac also. Try just clicking through and avoiding a ctrl click 'cuz maybe that's where the error occurred.
