Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 how many people won the lottery ? or converserly did not win the lottery ?
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 Did not win! And one who got one and isnt feeling it- hit me up, It will go to a good home!
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 Changed my mind about it just before bed and entered the lottery. I don't know I kept looking at the pics and purple grew on me. Sure enough wake up this morning and I won. Go figure....
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 Whoa, congrats! Yeah, I love the colors on all 3 of these guys. The pastel version with the darker version, plays really well. I think I like blue the most, but I ALWAYS like blue the most. Grimace here is pretty nice looking too, very "Prince."
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 Color usually associated with royalty...i like how purple vinyl shines too.
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 It's really hard for me to resist purple toys. I guess we all have our weak spots for certain colors. Of course I also love to put myself in financial dire straits and to do the mad scramble sell something this morning (I also had another hefty invoice to pay off). Got lucky and sold something on the bay that went in 5 minutes and paid off everything.
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 Same here, got a very nicely worded rejection letter but it doesn't lessen the sting any...
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 Had no clue he was that big, and man he looks sweet next to the PK Zud
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 Cool picture...looks like a warped very of Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here cover.
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 Did the new Baron come with an extra bit of goodness like the first two?
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 Mine came in yesterday with a slightly "bigger" omake... ....strawberry eyes...
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 He looks a lot more purple than what was pictured. And that's a giant omake!
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 The purple one is amazing! I love the sculpt, but I couldn't pick a favorite between the blue and red. Now I know which one I like most of all, and it's hands down the purple.
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 I also really dig these guys, and the purple vinyl version would have to be my favorite as well.
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 mine either will come today or sit at JFK till monday. usually the day after it gets to JFK it arrives here, but you never know if USPS takes international shipments from JFK on weekends. stupid mail. looks great, I like that it's giant size. looks like he has tiny hands and feet though....
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 Knew, I was going to regret not getting him (for the silly reason that the foil sticker will pop off in future). The tiny hands and feet are great! Almost stick figure like. I'm seeing a few purples here. Am I right to say its more towards an indigo blue?
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 Oh that's a sticker? I though it was a metal band around the waist. Hell it it ever falls off just glue it on (not like you'd see the glue right?)
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 Cliche Moment: I hope they make a clear version so you could see the little head inside the big head. Maybe some metallic paints? Also more arm attachments in the future would kill.
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 This type of sticker is not likely to ever come off. It's a high quality mylar label, not like older paper backed labels with foil faces, that were on older toys. If you don't mess with it it should stay put, at least until after we're all dead.
Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/10/09 This is probably my favorite toy of the year so far, package and all. I WISH I dint pass on the first 2 as I need to hunt them now. Yes, the hands are small , but it adds to the creepiness of the overall design. It sort of works with the large head and not in a corny western toy way. In ways when you look at it it gives that illusion that your looking at an actual giant robot in real life, in the fact that if you where actually sitting on top looking down in perspective the hands would look small. The purple vinyl on this release with the subtle blue metallic is perfection, as well there being almost no paint on the body really shows just how much the maker really wanted you to see the base vinyl.
