I was actually really dissapointed with it. It wasn't nearly as inane or campy as it should have been, the humor felt formulaic and contrived. 2 stars for me.
I thought they nailed it pretty well, except for when the girls got out on there own at the end. It was like they forgot everything they ever knew and it got pretty dumb... The rest of the movie was great though. Woody nailed it.
Im still on the fence after hearing the two writers for this movie are writing/ finished writing the script for the Deadpool movie. Zombieland was good, but its gonna be tricky with DP. Fingers crossed!
Do you recommend Legion. Because no one I've talked to has recommended it. They say its one of those lead-in movies where you have to watch the second part.
I think it was a good movie. If you're unsure about it being worth the money, then see a matinee showing. I used to think it was a weird movie when I saw the big ol' banners promoting the movie at SDCC, but it turned out to be entertaining for me and my girlfriend.
I felt like it should have been a TV show. I know it was being developed as a show before it came to be a movie. As a show it would've been awesome, as a movie it was ok. I'd say 3 outa 5 too, but I don't think I could watch it again anytime soon. It's a 1-timer. It failed to do that one thing that REALLY good zombie movies do, comedic or not, and that's make me say "what would I have done?!@" the whole time. The zombies barely felt like a threat with all of the weapons and food and gas filled cars around. Even when running these dudes had no problems it seemed. I get what they were doing but I would have liked it if I ONCE felt like there was a REAL threat.
It was worth seeing, but not five star by any means. They overdid the "rules" popping up on screen, and Abigail Breslin was really annoying.
It wasn't really a zombie movie, it was a comedy, and for that I thought it was pretty awesome. And I loved the rules.
