On 24 June 2008, I was able to capture the following photos of the rare and endangered Purple People Eater Pharoas foraging in the Oregon brush. The specimen emerged behind some overgrowth. One look at the tusks made me quick to snap the shot before hiding behind a near-by tree. The specimen seemed interested in the fish swimming beneath the falls... ...it pauses, the one eye targeting an unsuspecting fish; and, I am able to near ever closer for a beautiful snap-shot! Drat! A sound from the distance spooks the specimen, and he darts back into the brush. I was unable to track him further, but I succeed in proving the creature still lives among us! (Thanks D-Lux. I love it!)
