Spending his mortal days as a worker, Padihershef was killed at a young age after being crushed by falling stone. He sunk into the underworld, a dark and chaotic place, where he set forth on a journey to reunite with his soul and make it back to the day-lit world he once knew and loved. Finally, after his journey over land and sea, lasting 12 human lifetimes, he has made his way to our world.
I have to agree, this one is great. I cant decide whether #3 or #$ is better but it looks really sick.
i love it man. in my opinion this sculpt makes the WKY fangface standout the most. it looks really good. i like all 4 of the new sculpts better than the monstre de marais (except for the jurassic park mini, which I'm still trying to find). whats the deal with the names?
haha people keep asking about the names! Well ill try and break it down: Padihershef - the first mummy to be imported into the states for the purpose of exhibition. My story behind it comes from Ancient Egyptian beliefs of the underworld and the story of Ra. Gonakedet - an old Alaskan tale about a sea monster. its actully spelt Gonakadet William Palerne - the name comes from the poem Guillaume de Palerme, about a man who is turned into a wolf.
I love the back story. Kind of folk lore'ish monsters, awesome. So when are you casting this new sculpt?
Tomorrow there will be 4 versions of Padihershef the Mummy. the 2 not pictured here might not be white resin here are the first 2: Decay - ltd. 5 Mono - ltd. 5
I like these a lot! I like your paint apps. For me, the 'wrapping' might look a little too clean and white...compared with the decaying monster beneath. Just my opinion though. Still a great job!
I love the Decay and will be trying for that one, but some black or gray rub on the bandages would take it up a notch and bring out the bandage detail.
Raw Padi Rules - great job on these WKY! The set really came together nicely. It was interesting to watch the process and the "evolution" of your figures. Favorite of the bunch is Padi, followed by Gonakedet.
I would love to see clear blue vinyl with the bandages painted/rubbed white. the decay is my fave of these and the unpainted is next for me. good work. I'd also like to see a paintjob as cleanly executed as the palerne greywolf in blue overalls. sorry for being so demanding
thanks guys! when i was sculpting these, this guy was my 3rd favorite but now after working on it he has become my favorite! next week i will be headed to LA for a week for some concerts and i will be purchasing an airbrush so hopefully i can get some really rad colorways going then! i already have ideas for some new toys!
Agreed... I think an airbrush is going to take your toys to the next level! I recommend an Iwata Airbrush if you are undecided.
