 Re: Our big Garamon project
Sure, we are planning to paint it. Hands and legs are fixed now but we can access inside (kind of empty brain Garamon, just like us), so it's a good idea if we think about how make articulation points for both arms and legs Step 2 gara_3 por dimoxo, en Flickr

Very cool work Angel. The texture you added in the second photo really makes him come alive. A totally brilliant idea I commend you on. Papier-mâché kaiju for everyone!!

This makes me want a sitting Garamon toy! Anyone know of one that can sit?

 Re: Our big Garamon project
Because of the articulated legs, most of them can 'sit' to some degree, it's just the tail gives them a kind of angle. There are a couple sculpts too of him/Pygmon already in the sitting position. If you are looking for a great sitting display, I highly recommend the Garadama:

 Re: Our big Garamon project
GREAT work, Angel! When I get around to posting new things on my sadly-neglected Garamania site, I would love to include a post about this! From the environs, looks like you may be working on this with a child? If so, great job of bringing classic kaiju to the next generation! The texture is looking better and better… please keep posting on your progress. Very interested to see how you incorporate leg articulation, if you decide to go for that, and of course can’t wait to see him painted! James, off the top of my head, some Garamon toys with sit-ability: -As Steve pointed out, M1-GO (both standard and giant-size) - Bear Model- Medicom RAH Garamon ( very poseable in general) - Marmit: both the Para-Baby Garamon and the mid-size sculpt they released in red and green versions - Bandai Bullmark repro mini

 Re: Our big Garamon project
I really like were there was some "artistic license" taken w/ the proportions on this. Neat character treatment. Can't wait to see it finished!!

 Re: Our big Garamon project
Hello again, nice to finally post the advance. We know we still have everything to learn, but we finally could paint our "kaiju for the next generations" collaborative project and just wanted to share the result with everyone here. We didn't change much of the sculpt before painting, and couldn't add any articulation, but sure we got many ideas for next one.

 Re: Our big Garamon project
Is there an equivalent to the piñata in Japan? If so I think you have a million seller on your hands! I hear that watermelons are crazy expensive over there - 'praps your excellent design can become an affordable alternative to summer-time suikawari. Fun stuff, thanks for sharing.
