Was beyond INSANE and I fxxked up and deleted a picture of two or three insane custom Zags. There were a lot of customs, but they were going really quickly!! I really like this one: I LOVE YOU!!!
FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the harawata zag and miborah are beyond words! so many amazing customs.... now the the big question what did you score!?
OMG. That Mibora & Zag w/ Guts is just ! And that Pocket Deathra mashup rules. Thanks for the pics once again. Edit: Love the Guiro Seijin Zag & Rokuron Mibora. And is that a 8==D on the Zag?
Tetrans and Beralgons! I wish there was a full picture of the Killer. @____@ Camo Tetran! ARGH! So much good stuff. I am going to just cry myself to sleep. ~Maddie
Well, that'll teach me to read these blogs properly instead of just looking at the pictures. I kind of assumed there was going to be a RUN of the Camo mini-Zags when I saw that pic with a bunch of them in. In fact there were FIVE. ... And 10,000yen each? Handpainted or not, it's hard to see how they justify that when the mini Hedoran Bros SET (far nicer, IMO) was only 15,000. Work & some bright spark throwing himself under my train delayed me getting there till nearly closing, so I'd have been SOL anyway I guess. There were a few pieces left (surprisingly, that purple mini-hedo was amongst them) but I thought "fuck it", and consoled myself by going to Harajuku & picking up SB's awesome new Barbarian. Remember when Gargamel used to make toys too?
So much good stuff there. Those Hedoran Bros. were a steal. And what can you say about the camo walking hedo? Amazing. I can't imagine what Gargamel is going to bring to the S7 show.
Seems to me that going the one-off custom route is probably a lot smarter then releasing a bunch of stuff no one winds up buying. The only thing they release with any regularity that sells are Zags and Hedos everything else just hangs around it seems (edit: or winds up being resold in a month or two on BST for $40, do ppl still buy @ retail around here?)... I'd be bored to death with just doing those two as my bread and butter. Good to see that they are doing their thing. Go Gargamel. These are sick! They should do some fight figure one offs for you ff fans
Fuck, Katope is a beast right now, just incredible stuff. Everything thing he did tops the other. But my pic for the show is this guy ( I totally agree with Mark on this one ) I so wish this was a release
Thanks for the pictures Mark. Can't say anything that hasn't been said before. All of it just looks great.
Whoa... That's some serious eye candy Thank you Mark! In the last picture, from left to right, whos who?
heartbreak! so many great colorways! this is enough to make me want to go to Japan (to live). is there a new deathra sculpt??? yes... All this new custom action almost makes me not regret selling all my gargamel. you almost couldn't add anything really good to it unless you can attend events like this.
Um, yeah, I do. Because they made them all year. In case you weren't paying attention, here are a few:
This show looks mind blowing! Congrats to anyone who got cool stuff. This show looks how SDCC felt. Just one amazing custom after another. Thank you for the pictures Mark!!!
Love the way this show turned out with a nice range of customs, debut of the new crouching Deathra, etc. etc. Gargamel is doing a great job weathering the recession with bang up custom shows every few months + nicely spaced out releases (a la Flower Zag). They've even managed to get a few new toys out this year. Hats off to ya, gents.
Andy I couldn't agree more! Personally I feel like Gargamel is doing everything just right. Not too many releases and like you said, they are well spaced out. I've been able to keep up with the ones that I really like and I feel like each release is quality. Not to mention how insane their custom shows are. They also are spacing the custom shows out between the US and Japan, which RULES! I also tip my hat off to Gargamel, I cannot wait to see what they bring in 2010 and I wish them all the best!
Truly AMAZING show - and as someone said above HEART BROKEN I couldnt be there. These releases are blurring the line between art and toys. Howabout the next show being in-store AND online with a combined instore and online lottery to give out-of-towners a shot - that would be cool! Thanks for the awesome pics Mark!!!
