Once again..I'm glad to see those sculpts resurface. I think if these came out on a regularly basis people would get bored.
I just don't get why they chose that color smogun. It is very similar to one of the other ones.

I wonder if there was a color variant of the original Smogon in red. Seems too coincidental that Hukkokudo and Gargamel both chose to release one in red with similar paint colors. The original IKB Hedoras had paint variants.

As an interesting note, I came across the original name for IKB: Ikawa (family name) Kyoudai (siblings) Bussan (products) Kabushikigaisha. Afterward it became "Kabushikigaisha I.K.B."

Ah..that could be and I didn't think about that. I think I've seen the Hukkokado one on kt awhile back. Sometimes when I see similar paint schemes..my first reaction is why? (Especially when there are a myriad of other colors to pick from) Sort of like the gamerudon's that came out recently. Same paint schemes but different eyes and teeth.

Yes, I'm too lazy to actually post the pics vs. links. Anyway, I think they did it in tribute despite the clear orange S7 one being slightly similar. I like the red more honestly.

I love the two fight figures I own, but I'd love to Gargamel's take on a human-type fight figure. somewhere between cartoony, but with that realism it needs to be accepted by the bunch. kind of like how wheelbarrow is done. a "clean version" and a "beat-up" version. I guess I like what I'm seeing with what they've done with G&G and Mario.

I dunno...but I'd love to see some new fight figure sculpts.

Bummer! When I saw it the first thing I thought of was the Mishka-colored Camo Mibora.

They're just not popular enough. I'm guessing Gargamel was losing too much money because of poor fight fig sales. I found out about the poor popularity when I was at Thrashout. It would have been nice if Gargamel even made one Gargamess every year.

Actually I dig that gargamel still makes toys that arent just the popular ones. Bakos get no love but theyre pretty rad.

I read somewhere that the red Hukkokudo smogon was based on the colors on the header card. Pretty close:


The gargamel colors seem closer to the Baragon colors to me. Still hoping gargamel releases a mini to match that blue pained one above, a full sized toy would be even better!
