Started a new thread because the toy rules. Looks like there's a new release slated for Kaiju Comrades 2. Not too fond of how it's painted but that club rules. Damn! This is good! Looks like KC 2 is dishing out lots of cool stuff judging from this and Dead Presidents customs on the Maxx minis.
I'd like to see another shot of that steregon but I like the colour design. Definitley shaping up to be a killer toy. I had to pass on the maxtoy release, now Im a little annoyed I did.
that club is awesome accessory! was lucky enough to pick up the wonderfest release and love playing with it...
I like the funky colors on the KC2 one alot... and the club is a must. Hopefully it becomes standard issue with the figure.
I really love this guy. Anyone know the easiest way for someone from the states to get their hands on one?
Love the overall sculpt, but the speaker sockets kind of rub me the wrong way. I might be alone on this, and it pretty much trashes the overall concept, but I just wanna poke in some doll eyes.
Did Mark Nagata actually paint these new ones for KC2? Very nice! I gotta agree, though: doll eyes, though defeating the purpose of the whole stereo theme, look way better. The only other beef I have with the sculpt is the waist joint. I think it breaks up the look too much. One solid piece for the body probably would've looked better, and it's not like the added articulation will make it that much better a toy... Still...this toy's definitely growing on me.
Well i wouldn't say the the waist joint was added just for articulation per say, it wouldn't be possible to make the body one solid vinyl piece as there wouldn't be anywhere to pour the vinyl into the mold.
I waist joint looks odd to me because its smooth. The rest of the figure has texture to it everywhere, then you get to the waist and its smooth. Just throws off the sculpt to me a tad. And I agree, LOVE the way the doll eyes look.
i'd probably be down. i paid 10 bucks for it... it's unused and apparently i no longer have use for it
Good point...I'd failed to notice that the legs weren't jointed. Still, the "heads" are separate bits...and obviously the arms are, too...so couldn't the vinyl be poured from any of those holes? Eh, no big deal anyway. He's a purdy lil fucker and I'd definitely pick up a glowie of him.
I like that KC2 color a lot. The Wonderfest without the eyes looks good closeup. I think the waist joint was a manufacturing necessity.
I really dig the fact that it's a monster with speakers for eyes just because I love music so much.. probably even more so than I dare say "toys"... not only does he have a gigantic club to beat you with but he also has whatever music he wants to hear blasting you to death at the same time...!!! can you say Napalm Death...!!!
Can someone clarify the size of this guy? I was under the impression that he was around 6"-6.25" tall. However, some of the pics from KC 2 make him look quite a bit bigger.
Love this figure, but really dislike this paint app... I think these would really kick ass with dull muted color's..Just my 2 cents..
