Re: need ID on a couple semi-vintage Marusan toys The first guy looks like Barugon. http://www.clubtokyo.org/listings/itemListingRpt.php?catID=1&subCatID=23&contentID=1000 No idea on the second guy. He sure looks cool though.
Re: need ID on a couple semi-vintage Marusan toys Second guy - can't remember his name but he's a repro of the Marusan original monster series from the late 60's (rather than get licenses for existing figures, Marusan created (10, I think), new sculpts which were reissued in a few different colorways around 2000. The former Boston shop Day Old Antiques did an "American exclusive" paint variant for each figure in the line that was limited to 50 pieces for each sculpt. This paint variant is not part of that run (i.e. it's a Japan release).
Re: need ID on a couple semi-vintage Marusan toys cool thanks on the Barugon and does this help anyone with the name of the second? i knew it was one of the Marusan boots
Re: need ID on a couple semi-vintage Marusan toys I think he's called Elex or エレックス. I need more of those Marusan Originals in my life!
Coop's Erects- I mean, Elex- is from Day Old Antiques, a U.S. shop. They had their own exclusive set of the Marusan reissues.
