I dont have any of this, looking for a better price to get it. could you post a photo of your azzoth version trunker? what i can find is the same photo you posted from internet
The new 1/6 exclusive of Satan King & Thunder Gey are nice, but they could have been a little bit more different than the original version. Thunder Gey just seems to be cast in a darker blue vinyl. I hope they will continue re-releasing the Spectreman series this way. I got Neo Hedoron in clear green and it is much better than the original version. Its jellyfish nature is much better rendered this way. And I am very excited about the next release : Alien Zuno !!! I never had the opportunity to get the CCP version, but this one makes me forget about it. It looks like a huge hunk of vinyl :
Yes. Its great to see the Bear Model Spectreman kaijus being re-release. Alien Zuno is great! I'd grab it if I'm not so broke.
the New Mail order Alien Zuno are re-release? I thought this are new sculpt? any more links for info of CCP Alien Zuno?
Sorry, Alien Zuno is a new sculpt. I was referring to some of the others. CCP used to have the Spectreman vinyls on their website but they've been removed.
I saw a photo of a standard size Alien Zuno b4, not sure is it by CCP. is it from your flickr? but that one look more like by Rainbow, CCP's toys usually looks much complex.
Yup, the one on my Flickr is CCP's. Now that you mentioned it does look like Rainbow's. Maybe its the black legs.
Yes, the CCP Zuno definitively looks like a Rainbow product. Here is the pic of the Bear Model version again, looks like the former link I used no longer works :
For some reason this brings to mind Bobby Flay, roasting bell peppers on the grill... Sheesh, I'm *not* suppose to be buying anymore toys, but it's tough with all of these great photos
Here they are ... but I have touched it with a spray gun to make it iridescent. this figur is made in china
it is near a cigarettes box to make the size ...now I put it on the shelf, behind 1000 toys ... I can not move againe around to measure it
Y'know, Alex, I had a feeling you'd come through with the yokai wisdom! Thankee! I should really know this, but is that green guy with blue spray in the front, to the right, Ikkaku Daioh? Either way, I kinda need him! That Thunder-Gei's pretty cool...but I'm on the fence about getting it. I have the earlier glowie from Bear Model, and it's amazing...as evidenced by this gif by cae (yet another old-timer who no longer posts here):
I don't know what his name is. The minis came in 2 different 3packs. The blue guy you asked about came with the yellow guy and the small Nopperabo. The black guy with the big head, the Kappa and the 3eyed guy with the flippers came in the other pack (the water buddies!).
Alex, if you happen to know, could you please share the name of the tubby, berobed guy with the rodent-y face in the center? Thanks!
According to Sanjeev it's Ungaikyo. In the films he can show images of what is happening somewhere else on his stomach. So naturally, I just call him "Old TV Belly".
Please let me correct you : this Thunder Gey is the CCP reissue of Masudaya vintage 70's Thunder Gey. This particular version is CCP's variant as it was not GID at the time. And as for the original Thunder Gey, it might the rarest sofubi from Bear Model Spectreman's line up today, I've only seen one for sale once after the preorder, and I bought it from CKA ! Here is a pic of the original Bear Model release (Top Left - from 2009). There are no great differences from the upcoming re-release (darker vinyl & silver spray) : Top right : CCP variant re-release / Bottom left : CCP Masudaya original color re-release / on the right : the two Marmit Parababy variants
Thanks for the correction on that Thunder-Gei's maker, plasticXO! Hmmm...I'm wondering if I have my header cards mixed up! I gotta say, even though the Bear Model is more accurate to the show, I love the sabertooth look of the Masudaya!
Heh...well, just finished watching the movie...he's called "Aobozu". Of course, that just furthers the confusion because Aobozu is a cycloptic monk...not the monster portrayed in the movie. Similar to Nopperabo...he's not really a cock-like pile of talking meat...that's the name of any of the faceless apparitions that show up in Japanese ghost stories. Clearly, Daiei shoulda picked up Alt's book!
Incidentally, Mike Johnson can get the new King Satan, Thunder Gei...and Yamomark Hakusen King??? Just drop him a line. I couldn't resist the big blue flying whale!
