Oh, that Diaclone base is a dream *and the ad is not too bad either. What joy and play potential that has.

It is interesting to see that Bandai UK ad. Robo Machine Battle Suit eh? Sure, why not. :) At least it offers a substantial upgrade to my Power Systems 1-4.

Yeah, GRB is definitely a dream toy. You can play with that thing all day and not get bored! It's just a damn shame that they haven't aged well. Even if you DO find a minty one (that you could magically afford!), you can't really play with it for fear of the rubber bits crumbling to dust (for example)...

Ahhh, the curse of rubber toys! I hate things that become fragile with age, because I really do want to sit there for hours at a time and play. That calls for someone to start making some replacement parts - if they haven't already. Even if it is not 'mint original' I would love to be able to have the ability to re-create the playset [assuming of course it was even possible to obtain one, haha]

More great ones you dug up there Moog. Brings back a lot of memories. I am not too up to it with all the Transformers and their variants, but it is really cool to see the Diaclone predecessors to the Insectoids series. While I always loved the purple they made them in, they sure have a different impression in that red colour scheme.

EDIT: Ha, even better now with the UK catalogue counterparts. I feel like it is Christmas wish time all over again. Those were good times. Plus, Go-Bots!!! :D

Awesome stuff...the TF ads really take me back!

Incidentally, if you've got some time to kill and are interested in checking out nicer scans with translations of those Diaclone catalogs, check out this site:
    http://www.transformerland.com/blog/dia ... beginning/

    (I helped with the scanning!)

Wow, thanks Sanjeev. That is a great share, what a comprehensive site. There is so much more I still have to learn about the Diaclone line. And a massive manbearhug from me for your contribution. :)

More great robot finds Moog! The Dutch Transformers catalogue is pretty great.

Those Ultraseven axes are on a whole different level. I don't play at all, but if I didn't want to before, I sure as heck do now! :D What a crazy idea. I wonder how the sales went for these. I would love to see some bands rockin' it on stage with one of these. Sign me up for one if/when they ever go on clearance. I am all geared up for an Ultra jam - except for the gear.

A statue of a girl in some type of Gomora cosplay? :| And here I thought that the guitars would be the weirdest thing on this page.
