    Nice gift!

The Romando reissue sets are really well done and a great place to start your collection. Now you get to discover the 30+ decades of stuff you need to get haha!

Glorious Microman toys arrived today... also got some SB figures, but fuck that, I got a whole MM collection! Everything except the MicroRidor is new. The 7-2-1 set is just fantastic... gorgeous box, and a blast, with so many modes and interactivity. Death King is a little underwhelming but has great presence and decent articulation.

Actually, I grabbed the Microridor from Master Yen at the East Coast Chogokin Summit a few weeks back... I was already getting a reissue Robotman from Sanjeev as my first MM toy, along with a Spy Magician reissue to pilot it, but when Alen pulled out the Ridor, I couldn't resist. Once I saw the robot designs and just how much variety there was to the line, I couldn't resist. I'm fascinated by the transition in style from Henshin Cyborg, through Microman, all the way to Diaclone, and then the Hasbro-led later stuff, back around to Takara designed toys for Masterfore, Victory, and so on. I think I could honestly only collect toys made by Takara for the rest of my life be completely satisfied. Between HC->Transformers, and classic stuff like the Dougram toys, Takara just did it right. Notice the Magnetype Dougram in the top left corner of the first pic... managed to snag that right at the end of my YJA run for dirt... impossible to find piece, and a total blast.

My next goal, which is a ways off, is to get stuff like the Microborgs, W Robots, and power suits.

Indeed...Takara don't fuck around. That 7-2-1 is dope. I'm not a huge fan of the Microman stuff as much as the early Diaclone stuff (the weird scifi, non-Transformers stuff), but 7-2-1 is clearly in that similar aesthetic. Also the Bullsonic is great...you just never see them show up anymore...

Hey, anyone have a boxed HC Chojin A they wanna sell me??? ;)

Bullsonic is on my To-Do list, but fuck if I can find or afford one... there's one of the smaller powersuits on YJA for like $200. I think my favorite of the aesthetics is the Microrobot->Microchange look. It's like the Diaclone stuff, but before the scale changes, and I like something about how the mechanics work with the MM figure interactivity.

This toy kicks 100% ass. If only the retail hadn't been absurd, I'd snatch up the whole set. The vinyl is like glass, the guts perfect, and I love that it's posable at the waist AND head, which is removable.

There's actually 8 more missing. I don't think ChoroQ knows about the chase ones. I didn't even know these were still around. I might have to jump on ebay to see if anyone has them for sale. If anyone has the full set, chase and all, could you post a pic of them please :).
