Re: New recruits to the Galaxy People. Just received my box in the mail. Really solid little figures. Love the feel of them in hand. Thank you Brian for the extra "first purchase" figure. It was an unexpected but well received surprise. I will definitely be getting more of these.
New recruits to the Galaxy People. SF53 release! Super Festival 53! Huge thanks to Don 'Datadub' for allowing me to put a bunch of these on the Fig-Lab table on Sunday. Anything not sold will be offered up to people on the Galaxy People mailing list at some point after the event, but if you are in the area come over and check them out! Brian
Re: New recruits to the Galaxy People. Wow! Those look fantastic... picking out more of the individual costume details really makes these guys pop!
Re: Galaxy People update: Super Festival 53! Chirops is staring at me with those puppy dog eyes saying "Take me home." Wish I could. Excellant Brian!
Re: Galaxy People update: Super Festival 53! My Asterian Parasitoid arrived and looks fantastic. I've now got a short review up: http://www.battlegrip.com/?p=20558
Re: Galaxy People update: Super Festival 53! Thanks for the write up, I'm really glad your enjoying your parasitoid!
Re: Galaxy People update: Super Festival 53! You did a great job with him. Any word on the next wave of these guys?
Re: Galaxy People update: Super Festival 53! Well, There's going to be an exclusive run at the Monsterworship table at NYCC - pictures closer to the time! Also, The Grappler is finally getting silicon molded over the next 48 hours, and he'll be getting his debut at the webstore sometime very soon.
Re: Galaxy People update: Super Festival 53! Kaori and the kids went out today so I spent the best part of my Sunday casting the resculpted Grappler. Degassing the silicon for the molds and pressure casting the resin makes a huge difference. So cool to at last be feeling that control over the process. GID, clear and gold glitter.
Re: Galaxy People update: Super Festival 53! I never pictured these in vinyl. I guess that could be interesting. I just love the look, weight and feel of these as resin toys.
Re: Galaxy People update: Super Festival 53! these turned out just awesome, no paint necessary. it's odd how some toys, like this one, just have the right feel — is it the proportions? pose? stance? texture? the EYE?
Re: Galaxy People update: Super Festival 53! i really like these lots. that sculpt in the background looks very interesting also. better pictures of it? or was that a small teaser.
Re: Galaxy People- The Grappler (last page) Wow. These are pretty much perfect. The casts are unbelievably clean, and I love the different resins.
Re: Galaxy People- The Grappler (last page) I would definitely buy a bagged set of these three just as they are.
Re: Galaxy People update: Super Festival 53! Years probably, if ever. I've totally gotten the resin bug, especially now I'm pressure casting. Thanks, Ultra999! I do think the eye helps- it gives you a point of focus, the same as paint would. That's some work in progress, but it needs a lot more work before I show any pictures.
Re: Galaxy People- The Grappler (last page) i gotta say that these are really nice toys in hand. I got the chance to hold them at the S7 Resin show and they just feel great. very professional...
Re: Galaxy People- The Grappler (last page) I am loving the series but the grappler has that classic minib sofubi stance i love... hats off sir!
Re: Galaxy People- The Grappler (last page) You do amazing work, man. I've been resisting for quite some time, but I think I need a Grappler.
