Re: New Critter Thanks, he is 4.5" from toes to the top of the extending eye. If you don't count the eye, about 3.75" to the top of the head. I have a few more figures planned at this scale to follow.
Re: New Critter Really great sculpt. I love the underwear, very nice touch. Whats the story with the ooze, is it part of his skin or coming out of him or on him? hard to tell unpainted. Just curious.
Re: New Critter First, love this little guy, great pose, expression and crazy all over so it's really fun to look at and will be great to see painted. 1 small thing though, it's kinda hard to tell in places where his lips end and inside his mouth begins, so maybe a little more definition there. It might just be the angle and the pic though.
Re: New Critter Does this help? The ooze isn't coming out of him. Just part of the body. lumps of flesh just dangling, blowing gently in the wind.
Re: New Critter Haha, that's awesome Joe...I just sculpted a guy wearing tighty whiteys!!! Great minds think alike.
Re: New Critter Ok Splurrt heads. Here's an update. The first resins are done. They will be available at NYCC at Toy Tokyo. Unfortunately I was crunched for time on these guys, I was trying to get a few more finished for the show, but this is my first time experimenting with this figure and I fucked a few up, Hope you all enjoy. I know, there's a lot of cool stuff at NYCC, but I hope there are 3 people in attendance who think this guy is cool enough to pick up. I say three, because the pink isn't for sale, it's going to a notorious NYC pink collector.
Re: New Critter Love the finished pieces(especially the orange/pink one). They came out great, the paint really adds to the globby drippiness.
Re: New Critter Thanks guys. I'm glad you're liking them. My compressor is on the fritz, splurrting and randomly quitting. It was frustrating painting and I was glad these ones came out as well as they did.
Re: New Critter only 3? You need to do about 10x that many... and the tight-whiteys look adds another level to these guys!
Re: New Critter I know, I had a few more, just trial and error on the first paints, I wasn't feeling them. I know 3 is pretty tiny, but I'm going to do a run after the con, so if anyone misses it hopefully you'll be able to get one soon.
Re: New Critter I really like this guy, he's full of character and is a great evolution of your style and technique....make one for me please.
Re: New Critter You got it. This is my favorite figure to date. After 4 figures, I feel like I've started to really understand how resin is best used for function and efficiency. I'm glad so many SBers are liking this guy. Expect some skid marks in the future.
