obscura, evolution, and flatiron/chelsea garage market for the bizarre..
opera gallery, joshua liner, johnathan levine are all good for art on walls (opera gallery is right across the street from evolution)
vanessa's dumplings, Xi'an famous foods and the meatball shop (ahem) for cheap good food.
also,, PPOW gallery is having a cool show by thomas woodruff i've been meaning to check out
