it looks like the only way to get a hold of this set (available as a set only as far as i can tell) is to pay the 3500 yen entrance fee to the ultra q release/viewing party, then another 2000 yen for the toys themselves. did i get that right?

I think they are going to be released as you said. But not so sure they're going to be exclusive for that event. Hope not.

Well, I am sure this isn't going to come as any surprise, but I could not be happier to see Mr. Buta return back to some traditional kaiju figures. Sure the new micros are cool and cute, and I really appreciate his personal designs, but for me this is what it is all about, and I would take these [over those] hands down any day of the week.

Everything I've seen on the last few pages have been absolutely magic. I've never gone for minis below 3" before, they're a bit too mini for me but I'm ready to start after seeing these. I can't believe I've been blind to Butanohana all this time...it's like I've heard the name often and probably seen the toys often but never SEEN- seen the toys.

Does anyone have any info on what the "surprise" for some people on the first day was (as given in the show description) ? As I understand the translation, the gachapon machines are only in the gallery for the duration of the show. Does anyone happen to know how many of these figures were made? I would love to see them dribble down into the retrieving compartment Brings back so many memories of me begging my Dad for change, while waiting at the supermarket (yes, this is in the OLD days ), so I could snag a nifty new toy from a row of similar red dispensers!

I spy 2 out of the 4 from the Ultra Q set in that pic in the same pink vinyl. Could it be that they will have a more widespread release? Please, please, please.

I spy a pink Kanegon, Kemur Seijin and Baltan, almost looks like there's a blue Kanegon too, I hope there's no double ups but eitherway I'm super excited to add some blue to the mix.
