Wow, they really came out great. Are they all the translucent green resin? Fantaboulous paint jobs too. There is not one I don't like I can't wait to see a whole army of these.
Thank you both!! Yes some are a translucent neon green and a couple are a solid white resin. This will be the first painted release and then I might do a run of a different paint scheme.
Just curious as to how the work on ol' Gusto is coming along. I really dig the purple guy you threw up on your flickr (you should post a pic here). The purple and black go so wel together, but what really is stunning is your work on his eyes. I really love the way you did the reflections in them - brilliant. Excited for the future man.
Thank you so much for the support! The first round of customs sold out and a new batch will be heading to my bigcartel site very soon. Also the arms have earth magnets in them so you can pose them allot easier. Here is a teaser pic of the new ones: Untitled by ß∫∆˚®˙ß∫£, on Flickr
Really happy I was able to score one of the Gusto guys (clear green with orange pants). Can't wait to add him to my growing army of resin toys.
Cool, I don't even remember seeing these. Must've been a full run if you got it from Lulu. Congrats to Blurble on getting 'mainstream' with this guy.
Thank you for the support! It's not an actual complete change....it's a shift in color. Depending on the direction of light it shifts from a dark black to a darker silver. I hope that helps somewhat. Thanks again!
time for a little more life in this thread... coming soon to a big cartel shop near you: the first schnebbs x blurble collab, a run of four hand-painted "gusto" resin figures! (and a handsome devil of a one-off...) mike will make the official announcement sometime soon, so consider this the preview. =p
Nice work on these guys Chris, the paint and colour give him a very earthen clay feel. Plus I still think the blue jeans are just great on a crazy dude like this. I am surprised more people have jumped on to painting ol' Gusto.
Thanks sensen. There was a batch of these (gone) on marbled pink/white/clear resin that I painted. But I can't get a picture to load I'll try again soon.
Thank you. Both Chris and Jon are very talented artist. I am blessed to know both of them and work with them. I still have several of the customs Chris did in my bigcartel shop.
Here's that pic I couldn't get at before. There were three of these dudes, all happily relocated now.
