WOW! I must have missed that part about being closed minded. I guess I look at custom toys all the same way. I did get started with kidrobot stuff when i began to customize toys due to accessability. I have now shifted into more of a focus on different toys such as ego's, trexi's, [expletive deleted]'s, and others. SO what is it that people will look at here at skull brain? I would way rather show my work off to people that can appreciate the work I put into my creations rather than to simply knock it for the base toy used. |

I'm gonna sayit like this: It's like posintg Star Trek toys on a Star Wars forum. Sure, they're similar a little, and there's some cross over fans, but it's not the place. I'm not taking any sides on this, just trying to clarify the situation. If you lurked around the customs section (and the board over all) you'd see there' extremley few Western. And sure, there's some crossover fans, and sure some is more widely accepted, but GENERALLY: Not the place. Hope that helps a little. |

If the base sucks, the customization done doesn't matter. Trexie/Dummy/BUD/Labbit - it doesn't matter, they're all lame forms. KR and Western is nearly synonomous here. As BD said, there are some cross-over fans here - but this isn't the audience you're looking for. Any cross-over fans will also be on KR - so you'll hit everyone over there...I'm sure you'll be a huge hit! (Not to be a dick, but that was more of a backhand to the tastes of the KR folk than a compliment of your customs - they truly like some amature looking crap, so take their praise with a grain of salt.) This isn't close-mindedness - it's knowing what you like and what you don't. And it's knowing that there's a more appropriate arena for you. |

Munny KRap or not your customs are weak, crappy glopped on paint jobs, pointless cut out shapes glued on, weak line/masking work, sloppy sculpting. . . Feel better now? |

In all seriousness, how are the Blowup (or whatever its called), the [expletive deleted] and the [expletive deleted] (all in the back left) considered customs? The Blowup is painted white, the [expletive deleted] appears to be a solid green and the [expletive deleted] is a solid teal blue.

excuse me I must have slipped and said close minded when I meat complete assholes. Sure a few of the toys in the picture aren't being worked on yet. I will take all the open hostility with a grain of salt here far before I would on the KR threads. Seeing as how a solid paintjob and a cats eye make a good toy. It's far to obvious that this forum is full of hate and very closed minded. I found this place through my passion for toys and customizing and thought I would open myself up to a new audience. I like to learn from all my new experiences that includes this attempt to open a door. who know I may have had a chance to laern something from you guys, but insteed you flat out bastardism my work and talk shit the very first time I make a post. That my not close to friends is the very concept of being close minded. The good thing is I never take shit from any 14 year old forum members that think they are art critics. I get show and I make sales point blank and my inspiration will never die. |

If you would have posted some art, or custom kaiju, this would not have happened. But before you posted your pix did you even notice there was not a post about dun nys, nades, labbits, etc? When I go to another message board about something different like custom cars, I dont show them my custom toys. |
