I always took the story literally, a fake baby was made from tar as a trap. The whole Songs from the South thing was pretty funny in retrospect, and a lot of the real folk tales they used, the originals, are pretty weird too. Anyone ever see that SNL parody commercial w/Tim Meadows for Uncle Jemimas Mash Liquor I think? It was a parody of the whole Songs from the South thing too, pretty funny. |
