I thought it was pretty lame when they removed the word "wenches" from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride on the fear that it might offend someone. Context already, jeez! Politically correct 18th century pirates? Sure thing, mouse. |

I thought the "Eddie Murphy" speculation was just a joke, but it sounds like they might actually stoop to such a rewrite. Wow, sorry to hear that they modified the ride to fit the movies. Something about the venerable "Pirates" ride made it the best of the originals for fifty years. Yo ho ho and a bottle of Diet Pepsi Lite or whatever. Ugh. |

I loved the "Pirates" movies, best thing Disney has done next to teaming with Pixar in ages, but I don't want my ride all covered with it! |

there is no eddie murphy dorks. honestly. http://p098.ezboard.com/Disney-Insider- ... 6767.topic They've updated the audio, added a stairwell, and given the bride in the attic a big more of a back story (not involving eddie)...added some ghosts and placed the bride's ring back in its rightful place in liberty square in the concrete near the mansion. can't wait! |

It's crazy, every time I go to disneyland(which isn't very often) I get this insane feeling of just being so young and living in a world where time doesn't matter. I can't really explain and I know it sounds dumb, but I'm sure a few other people get that same feeling. I hope to go back within a year. |

Missy I sent you a message regarding HM pins. Thanks and have fun! I was at Disneyland 2 weeks ago and had no idea they were revamping the Mansion. Also, I thought they are doing another year with Nighmare Before Christmas theme (which I really love) so are they doing the regular ride for a month with the updates and then back to NBC for the remainder of the year? |

hey sorry the board wouldn't work for me all day. i saw that i had a message in my email, but could not get on here to see it. There are special ones for the event. See them here: http://eventservices.disney.go.com/pintrading/index The haunted mansion at WDW never does NBC, its only Disneyland that does that, so this ride will stay the same until they update it next.

yeah, nothing special is going on at Disneyland, only Disneyworld. meanwhile, as missy pointed out, the WDW Haunted Mansion never has Haunted Mansion Holiday, that's only Disneyland. I believe the Disneyland mansion had some similar updates a while ago (not sure about the staircase scene). they should put up the NBX thing around Halloween or sometime after. |
